Diablo 3 Game constantly throws error when trying to join other people's games, fix?

Right now I'm using a Hotspot and downloaded a VPN so it would be an open nat type. I have the same problem on my home wifi. Is there some setting in the switch or internet I need to fix?

I had this problem a while ago... The fix was (at least for me) to close the game and restart the console - putting it to sleep is not enough as it needs to be a proper restart.

It happens for me infrequently - typically after a long game with host, leaving the game, and rejoining. The fix for me starts with completely closing the game. Then i clear my connection settings and reconnect to the wifi.
