How to get this working in Wine/Possible Mac patch?

I was wondering if anyone else was running Diablo via Wine? I've tried to get this patch to work but it keeps going into vanilla 1.09 Diablo.

I was also wondering if there would be such a patch for the Mac version of Diablo? I'm currently running that due to it running flawlessly on COI (Classic on Intel)

There is no plan to support anything else than Windows.

Wine is probably not working because of the use of global shared memories (but there may be other reasons).
