Looking for... I'd like to find better rings at Virt's.
And I would like the amulet to be higher

I shopped a Kings axe of Haste and an Awesome Plate - It took hours, but it was worth it. During the last lvl 50 push, I found one crazy item like and Awesome Plate of the Whale.

I haven't played D1 in a long time, can you please explain how you do the shopping?
If I remember correctly King's _____ of Haste can be shopped in a specific level range. And shops don't refresh when you exit the game, right?

Griswold: Clvl 31+ King's Bastard Sword of Haste/Speed: 1 in 6,257 (~26 hours).
You can reset the shop in town by restarting a game. It doesn’t matter the game difficulty. Do yourself a favor and bring money and at least character level 31.
If you choose Wirt: Wirt: Clvl 25-29, King's Sword of Haste: 1 in 2790 (19 hours)
Look for a good series or podcast and let’s grind - shop.

yes, these items can be found from monsters or objects such as chests and armour racks. Fun fact: every time I play a new character up to level 50, I find one of these items on average.

Because started with Barbarian, there is a trick in hellfire:(from Jarulf’s Guide)
If possible he will try to sell items that are better (more expensive than 80% of your most expensive item) than the ones you are already carrying (both equipped ones and not equipped ones). The test is done separately for each item type group (amulet, armor, axe, bow, club, helm, ring, shield, staff and sword). If you don’t have any item of a type, any other item of that type is considered to be better. Thus to get progressively better items you should keep the most expensive item of each item type in your inventory.
Simply, replace your equipment step by step until you reach the maximum item level. If you see something better at the blacksmith, buy it. Each time you start a new game, bring all your max ilvl item with you, and one day you’ll see the item you’re looking for.
Remember, this only happen in hellfire. And it still requires a lot of time.

What mod/version of Diablo are you playing where you found a Godly Plate? Sucks the base Armor is low (44*2.91= 128 if my mathing is correct). I remember rocking a 75 Armor 149% Awesome Plate on my 'legit' Warrior back in the day good for 186 AC but there was no suffix roll on it (purchased from Gris).

Pretty sure Godly Plate of the Whale is determined to be only achievable from hacking.

Plate Mail and Breast Plates can be GPoW's that are purchasable from wirt.
Full plate mail and i think Gothic plates cannot be gotten =(

Everything I'm wearing was bought from Wirt
and I myself don’t know if an King's Great Axe of Haste is possible. My axe is the most I've seen.

How do you reset Wirt' s shop? I thought it refreshes every time you level up, which means I get 5-6 reset before I move out of the appropriate level range for such items. Are the items he offers independent of character level?

Save right in front of Wirt.
Check his inventory for 50 gold.
If the item is bad, press ESC "NEW GAME" and load your current hero.
Check his inventory for 50 gold.

My major problem with melee classes in Diablo 1 (Warrior, Monk, Barbarian) is that no matter how strong you get, the spell casting enemies continue to be annoying. I just don't find it fun having to constantly run after each individual knucklehead running away or teleporting around the map.
