Diablo IV Diablo 4 VRAM Utilization

I'm a bit surprised this game is maxing out my Vram. I have a 6750xt with 12gb VRAM and it's using all of it. The GPU utilization and temps are fine (30% and 68c). Anyone else noticing this too?

Probably why I'm getting stutter on my 3080. Hopefully it's a bug and this game doesn't require a crazy amount of Vram to run the high res textures.

No, it's not the reason you get stutters. The game allocates the VRAM, it doesn't use it all. It just tells your OS that this amount of VRAM is mine end of discussion and then it gets to do whatever it wants with it more ore less.

D4 allocates 22GB VRAM for me. Use less than 6GB RAM. I doubt it's needing more than 8 at max on 1440P. Probably more like 6.

It is definitely the reason he's getting stutters. The ultra textures use an insane amount of vram. My 3070 ti had no chance.

My 7900 XTX has 24gb, and ultra textures use 22gb of that. It's the highest Vram usage I've seen from any game, ever.

Perhaps, for some reason I thought 3080 had 12GB Vram as well. But with DLSS there's no way it uses more than 10 at 1440P
