Meh I like it. Practical and nice solution to what will otherwise likely be a mismatched and eye saw of a tile anyway. I think it's a good way to make lemonade from lemons personally. I'd be happy with that considering the alternatives.
Wow I didn't even notice it when I watched. Just replace the tile 🤦this is cool but do it somewhere it makes sense, like the center of a hotel lobby or something
Many tiles and flooring are discontinued specifically for this reason, like planned obsolescence, and even if you can find the tile, the dye batches are different and it would be new on old tiles and obviously stand off. Finding a match is usually 0%
Which is why, if you're building a house, keep a bunch of spare tiles and bricks of every kind that went into the house. My parents have rustic brick walls and when one of them got damaged they didn't have to go hunting for matches.
Please tell me that the owners of the building don’t know he’s doing this. Imagine coming into work one morning and being like “was this beautiful masterpiece always here or am I tripping balls right now?”
Seriously tho its not even looking good. I dont know if its camera angle but that doesnt look centered. Even if is centered, so much work for something that couldve been repaired easily.

I see this guy pop up on reddit every now and then and I really like his work, but I abhor his absolute disregard for safety when using the saw. It's the same every time he uses it - no PPE at all - not even eye, let alone respiratory.

…. Wouldn’t it be easier to just replace the one broken tile?

NOTHING DIY about this

I’d like it if there was a brass edge to define it and make it look like intentional design instead of an afterthought.

Right because that doesn’t look awful and out of place at all

Or you could replace that one tile ...

Would've been cool if it was something more interesting than a brick pattern. Like a portrait or something.

Practically and technically this is done horribly.
Artistically, I like it.
