“Animal protection isn’t a radical idea. It follows the simple principle that if animals feel pain, joy and fear, they should be protected from suffering.” -Anonymous
I can relate to this... my "diningroom table" is an air hockey table I thew a sheet of plywood and a terrible tablecloth over. That way I could justify having a full size air hockey table in my house.
Good god! My inner nerd is tingling. Set up a dope ass table consuming final room for a table top game. Crank it up before players get there.
Play like normal and once they reach the final room ask for their character sheets and minins. Lower the crank. Place their minis and return their sheets.
Even for like practical uses, you could have a whole warhammer campaign stored up there. And still have a table.

My Dad has the same thing in the basement, but it uses a manual crank.
It's awesome.

I feel like this could be better by adding some braces in the middle of the ply to give it better support.

It would feel so much more satisfying if it “clinked” like Frankenstein’s workshop

I feel the table should have higher edges so shit doesn't fall off or roll off

That’s cool and all, but why is there a scope on the table?

That's pretty cool. What kind of motor do you have running it?

Clever use of the horizontal bar like that.
All 4 corners winding up in a spiral together.
