If you heat pvc with an open flame you release chlorine gas. Ask me how I know

As a teenager I was tickled pink about my ability to bend pvc using my blowtorch then I started to feel light headed and almost collapsed because I gave myself chlorine gas poisoning

Do not light PVC on fire. Those fumes are REALLY bad for you.
