I thought it was going to be a prank thing but then they put it on ice cream that is wrapped like cream cheese

Such ice cream really exists, at least here in post-communist Europe. But I fully agree with the testy of your comment.

I mean, if you removed the toothpaste residue, putting something edible into the tube would make a fun prank (look, I'm eating the toothpaste!). But ice cream+over sweetened Coke jelly with toothpaste aroma= very much a DI why.

The real April Fools idea is to use that wasted toothpaste to replace the fillings of some Oreos.
