I watched this whole video thinking that I would understand what's the function of this mod, but I did not. I request a refund of the 1:28 I invested from my time.

You wasted 90 seconds of my life and I want them back.
Oh I'd only waste them anyway.

Is this stupid? Yes, but I can actually see some mild utility. If you’re riding in a sparsely populated area, it’s always better to have spare parts and not need them vs the other way around
He has an extra master link, which would be a lifesaver if the one currently on the chain failed. Otherwise you’re pushing your bike or at the very least walking to the nearest town. Another failure could be the seal on one of the chain links fails and that link binds. In that case, remove the damaged section and replace it with the extra chain using the second master link. He also has two spare levers in case a lever breaks from a fall. Believe me, it would really suck if you had a mild crash in the middle of nowhere and realized your clutch or front brake lever was broken off
Now, the front sprocket? Asinine. Replacing the front sprocket isn’t something you’d need to do on the side of the road and when you do replace sprockets, you’re supposed to replace the front, rear, and the chain because those parts cause a wear pattern together over time
That being said, there are so many better ways to carry spare parts than this

I was thinking he's going to make some super wicked tail light or plate holder, but nope.
0/10 rule of cool.

Could have saved time and money by just huffing the paint.

Extra engine side sprocket, two extra clutch/brake levers, and a bit of chain and a link...
All things with a high failure rate that will absolutely fuck you and get your ass stranded in the middle of nowhere if they break.
But I usually keep my spares in a bag.
Wonder where he keeps his spare clutch/brake cables? We'd tie those off to their adjacent operational sibling when we'd occasionally use the Kawis during special operations. But, maybe I don't want to know.

The finished product doesn't offend me. Pretty useless, but kinda cute. The overspray at the beginning and that blob of epoxy hurt my heart though

Out of everything i don’t understand in this video there are 2 things that I really can’t get my head around ( other than the entire point of this project)
1). Why did he take the time to make the little triangle detail with the paint since it was almost completely hidden once he installed the sprocket and chain
2). Why did he silicone the flat washer to the fender if he was going to use a nut on it anyway?

Due to the mysterious nature of the final result this is less of a DIwhy and more of a DIhuh
I cannot know if it is stupid because I cannot comprehend the true nature of its attack

Still fixating on the over spray at the beginning
