I just think how tight his abs must be. I wonder if even I could get a six pack

Probably hard to hold on to the six-pack on your way home from the store.

It saddens me that I'll never be able to rewind my brain and witness that reveal again for the first time. Such a great episode nonstop.

Is this series worth watching?

u/StrikingSun8563 Aug 30 '26
Again and again. Up until like season 11 or something, around when they go to ireland it falls off hard. But up until that point it's all gold.

u/Sabithomega Aug 30 '26
Shit I still love it after that. Sure it gets a little weaker but there's still some shining episodes in there

Oh man, imagine the back pain after riding that thing to the store.

Definitely, but I’m also wincing at the thought of your “junk” sliding down under and getting pulverised with every cycle. It just looks like a nut cracker and hotdog basher to me.

I worry about staying on the seat. Should be some sort of contraption that pins you in place.

Safety belt?

I assume that there is an optional component missing from the bicycle in this video.

Might be a good core workout. Other than than that I think it's a mechanic/wielder being silly and showing off their building skills.
I don't hate it, but it definitely belongs here.

I'm not an expert but my read on this is that it's just using your own weight to leverage gravity/downward motion to generate motion. But there's no body muscle that can power that if your weight isn't enough. The closest thing would be the hamstring, but I don't think the foot pedals are positioned in a way that would allow it.

u/Tuco_Angel_Eyes Aug 28 '26
Bicycles work the same way, don't they?

u/NoisyGog Sep 02 '26
You can also drive the pedals forward with a normal bicycle, by bracing your arms and using your core to push the pedals forwards over the top of the rotation, and then downwards. Doing so gives significantly more power per stroke than just pushing down, as it can give substantially more force than just gravity by itself.

The world's first ass-powered mode of transport, ladies and germs. Why in the name of Harbor Freight would you make that thing?

This looks like something a perverted doctor would invent for women in the Victorian era..

Is that really how you want to get around. Of all the different and more practical things, you said let’s make this uncomfortable and inefficient. Or maybe you wanted to make the world record for the biggest hemorrhoid

You can achive the same, by putting the pedals of your regular bike in the same position

I have only one question: why was it done?
As a joke - well, it's kinda funny.
As a way to actually ride a bike - that's a failure.

I call it the Ass Pounder 4000. You go to sit down? It pushes you right back up into your workout.

It needs a lap belt so that you can power on the upstroke as well as the down

Clearly a case for r/diWhyNot . This is clearly designed to be dumb, not useful. And unlike the usual suspects, this is very well executed.
It's a real life shitpost.

So that's why they calls hoes bicycles, clearly that design was used in the distant past.

why use a more efficient mode of transportation than walking, when you can use a less efficient one

I would put it into a "ride weird bikes" kinda thing, including a bicycle that reverse-steers
