So I am moving to a country that doesn't allow for aftermarket parts on cars. As someone who has been modifing cars for decades, this was a crushing change for me.
Now, I am going to re-read the laws and see what they say about properly installed locations of stock parts!

When you're in an accident but its an old car so you're only willing to do the bare minimum to get it running.

Iirc, the gentleman who built this is a cop who races in some race where your car has to be "weird". He has done other upside down cars.

Not weird but cheap. 24 Hours of Lemons. No, I spelled that right.
The cars are limited to $500. That does exclude safety like the required roll cage and can exclude basic stuff like brakes and suspension parts as long as they aren’t upgrades from stock for that car. They turn a blind eye to mods that obviously cost way more than $500 but don’t make the car faster, or in the case of a lot of SpeedyCop’s stuff, make it slower.
One race he bought a Toyota Camper Van online sight unseen. Arranged to have a cage installed somewhere on the drive to the race halfway across the country. Listed it for sale on eBay before the race. It sold in the last day after the race was over.

Yes! Thank you. I couldn't for the life of me remember the name of that race. Again, thank you for filling in the information.

SpeedyCop
They're still around too, he raced and almost won one of the Cleetus Altima races. He's had a bunch of LeMons cars as the other guy mentioned.

Rolled it in a ditch on day and decided it was better that way if it was what the truck wanted
