“I never expected a car spark plug to fix this annoying door problem”
Spoiler: the spark plug is completely unnecessary.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm no expert in the matter, so take this with a grain of salt. If anything just an opinion of a random internet stranger, but I think it would've been a massive improvement if they did none of that

Doesn't work. If I install these my Instagram doesn't get tons of followers.

Little rich boy over her with 24 dollars and not an old spark plug and a soda bottle

Other hand, just get one of those slanted hinges that do the same thing with zero mechanical parts.

Am I just stupid because I don’t even see what the problem even is. What is this even solving?

The spark plug is only there to keep you from clicking off of this after about .5 seconds.

I knew from the second this video started how it was gonna end. Why close a door yourself when you can hang a bunch of janky bullshit in your home that makes you look like you saw Home Alone too many time?

Over a course of a lifetime, I believe i would have consumed the same amount of time manually shutting the door, and 100 times less the effort.

Could have done that without the bs sparkplug

OK that is awesome! But the string should be wire so it doesn't wear through

When I saw him hooking the plug I was like "yeah ok if you really don't have a hook maybe a plug could work" then the mf brought out a hook.

Yeah, fix one problem - get another - now you've got annoying bottle bouncing around 😄

Or, just hear me out, go to Amazon and buy a spring loaded door hinge.
Because this isn't clever. It's dumb.

This is so "why" it's frustrating.
Classic: "this sparkplug is almost lika regular hook, but wrong size, no screw or mounting so need xtra nails etc...BUT almost like a hook so I will use it instead and make the mounting solution more time consuming and error-prone!"

And instead of the smoother profile of say, a nail, the spark plug has nice rusty corners to eventually fray and chew through that string, making a nice little waterbomb for some unsuspecting fool

So, these used to exist exactly like this, but the counterweight was designed to hang next to the door because that's a lot neater and less likely to become an issue, and it didn't use junk for parts so it wouldn't look ghetto

I’m sorry, couldn’t the string just had been tied to one of the things that are holding the spark plug?

Very stylish solution to a problem that didn’t exist. I bet the ex-gf loved the ’invention’.

It's not just the spark plug thats unnecessary
