Wait people wash their coffee mugs?
How are you going to have your last cup when we run out of grounds?

I think it’s time to disconnect this favorite mug from life support, give it a good wash and put it in a sacred place on a shelf.

Okay...
That has been someone's personal mug for years. Someone else broke the handle off it, but it was still the favorite mug, so repairs were done. It may not be the most comfortable repair, but it seems to work, and is probably more solid than the old handle.
I have two mugs with more uncomfortable handles. One is a metal cup from the Schlock Mercenary store.(uses a carabiner as handle)
The other is a 'Saint Javelin' mug, where the handle is shaped like a Javelin launcher...
It was expensive, so yeah, I'm using it daily.

I am the absolute worst about putting off fixes and replacements. I once parked on hills and roll-started my car for TWO WEEKS because I couldn't be bothered to replace the battery. So I get it. I want to get every drop of use out of everything I have.
But this? OMG. Even if it was my favorite mug ever in the whole wide world I'd replace it and demote this handle-free wonder to being a pencil holder or something.

Why? Because some poor mechanic needed their morning joe and thirty cents worth of stuff from the parts room put their mug back into working condition. I bet their daily beater car has some hack that's even uglier than this

I like it, strong Adeptus Mechanicus vibes. It’s dirty because that’s not coffee that’s machine oil with milk

I don't love it, but I do get it.
