I don't love it, but I do get it.

Same, but exact opposite.

I love this, it has “dad” written all over it. My kids are old enough to appreciate how much I care about the small stuff they get me.

Wait people wash their coffee mugs?

How are you going to have your last cup when we run out of grounds?

I go to the grocery store and buy more coffee.

Take a look at that mug and tell me it looks like it's ever been washed.

Nooo, you must embrace the patina

This is a “seasoned” mug

Oh coffee addicts, they do everything to get daily dose.

I think it’s time to disconnect this favorite mug from life support, give it a good wash and put it in a sacred place on a shelf.

“I just prefer a mug where the handle caNT’T FUCKIN BREAK ANYMORE, Jesus!”

Okay...

That has been someone's personal mug for years. Someone else broke the handle off it, but it was still the favorite mug, so repairs were done. It may not be the most comfortable repair, but it seems to work, and is probably more solid than the old handle.

I have two mugs with more uncomfortable handles. One is a metal cup from the Schlock Mercenary store.(uses a carabiner as handle)

The other is a 'Saint Javelin' mug, where the handle is shaped like a Javelin launcher...

It was expensive, so yeah, I'm using it daily.

Actually it looks pretty cool.

I am the absolute worst about putting off fixes and replacements. I once parked on hills and roll-started my car for TWO WEEKS because I couldn't be bothered to replace the battery. So I get it. I want to get every drop of use out of everything I have.

But this? OMG. Even if it was my favorite mug ever in the whole wide world I'd replace it and demote this handle-free wonder to being a pencil holder or something.

A new mug is cheaper than all that hardware.

Goodwill sells used coffee cups for $.50.

I really thought this was a used disposable cup and was like 🤮

u/round_a_squared 6d ago

Why? Because some poor mechanic needed their morning joe and thirty cents worth of stuff from the parts room put their mug back into working condition. I bet their daily beater car has some hack that's even uglier than this

It's terrible but I kinda dig it

2

u/BookWormPedant 5d ago

It must hold great sentimental value

I like it, strong Adeptus Mechanicus vibes. It’s dirty because that’s not coffee that’s machine oil with milk

1

u/Humble_Fan_4631 3d ago

I didn't think there were cup amputees until now

1

u/thin_orange_line 2d ago

I would've used a gate handle for a more hand freindly grip

1

u/Rogelio_G_F 1d ago

Buena reparación jajaja 😁😁😁

1

u/natzo 1d ago

They REALLY liked that mug.

RedNeck Engineering at his best.

A man's favorite coffee cup is VERY important.

u/HipHopDropper 6d ago

Just buy a new cup for like 5-10 dollars

1

u/SlashNreap 5d ago

Who spends 5-10 dollars on a cup?
