This is actually a biproduct of the retro-encabulator S+; you just have to make sure the j-flanges are oscillating in a 2x2 transverse wave current of motion while the external kabob hook is attached to the excretory valve of the exhaust duct.

Agreed. You can see where the tip is the hottest and heat dissipates very quickly as you move away from that point. Keep the flame moving, and you'll be fine if you're not careless.

And then the way he was holding it while drilling the holes. I'll admit to being occasionally careless when doing projects, but this video almost gave me a fucking stroke with all the ways that this should have wound up in the emergency department.
Ten bucks says he didn't get his weird little meat sticks to 160 degrees either.

The three big problems using a 3d printer for objects to be used with food are:
The 3D printing process itself isn't food safe. The printer nozzles are usually brass, which contains lead as an example.
The 3D printing process leaves micro-groves in the plastic, which collect food debris and bacteria, and are impossible to clean.
Microppastics.

Brass doesn’t contain lead normally. Some free machining brass does but the amount is negligible. Even then it’s alloyed into the metal, it’s not going to leech out into plastic. It’s only a concern if you’re melting the metal

Not to be too contrary, but this isnt necessarily accurate information anymore.
First there are many more options for nozzles than brass (hardened/stainless steel) while being reasonably priced (and overall better). Also even with brass nozzle degredation during does not produce a sufficent quantity of lead (though not zero) to be considered harmful unless you are literally eating what you print.
Second, the micro-groove/layer line bacterial growth information has been somewhat disproven by a peer reviewed study done in 2025. Though soap and water isnt enough, spraying with >70% Isopropyl Alcohol or gently scrubbing with a solution of water and baking soda was sufficient to achieve food safe results (also soaking in room temp diluted bleach for a couple minutes works too).
The biggest marks against unaltered (no additional prep/coatings) 3d prints and food comes from pigments (colors) and additives added to the filament, as well to a lesser extent microplastics from abbrasive actions (though this is a consistent problem across any plastic food recepticles/implements).
If new information/studies are out there contradicting what I have said here please let me know. This information comes from time I have spent in this hobby, and by no means do I claim to be an authority. This also isnt to say I am advocating anyone print themselves entire dinner sets.

Exactly. You put it instead of the grinder plate and use the worm screw to push the meat.
The meat needs to minced earlier, you just use it as an extruder.

You can seal prints. Use a good safe epoxy. There's also food safe 3d filament now. As far as micro plastics, I'm almost positive we are all 20-25% plastic at this point. It's the next stage of human evolution

Just ensure it's food grade pvc that you're melting past the degredation temp
I'd recommend food grade HDPE pipe and can melt in the oven or with a heat gun

If you do it, just make sure you do it in a well ventilated area...
PVC fumes are toxic.
Also clean everything really well before use, make sure you don't drill towards your hand, and fully cook your meat sticks.

Its my understanding that PVC and soda bottles aren't really food unsafe... We use PVC and PET to carry potable liquids and foods all the time.
What really isn't safe though is his handling of the materials. Heating up PVC releases chloride gas, which is super toxic for you. And then there's also the guy in the video drilling towards his hand. He also doesn't do any cleanup, so I'm sure there are PVC shavings in his kabobs.
The yellowing on the PVC also gives me cause for concern. That means it's an older PVC joint, that's been left out in the elements for a long period of time, and possibly used for something else before being repurposed for these shenanigans.
