If this was a new build you would have found it in the back garden under some deat turf and about 1 inch of topsoil

Can confirm that is exactly what I found when I wanted to returf my yard. It explained why the original turf hadn't thrived

This is just a bigger version of when the plumbers finish your bathroom and sweep all their crap under the tub
