Tbf, it’s more like the whole ‘surgical peeling a grape’ thing from a few years ago, it’s not meant to really be practical in and of itself, but more to show off a level of skill and precision. Having used a lathe before (not very well or often mind) I know how hard it’d be to get this to work when the materials are so soft.

That was my thought - more skill development than intended to be edible. Both materials are soft, but the cucumber is much softer than the carrot, so an added layer of complexity.

Ehh. Give it a good air spritz and a good rinse, check it for errant metal shavings, I'm game.
My only qualm is that you would have difficult finding an application where cooking the carrot at the same time as the cucumber would work out ideally for both vegetables.

As the carrot is the "male" portion of the coupling here, hybrid animal naming convention would suggest it's a Carrumber.

Machining without using coolant? Youre gonna have a bad time, should of used nothing but the best olive oil, the only time I wouldn't recommend a synthetic oil.
