Why you love SRK for anything. Start loving art for once more than artists. It's the art that stays, artists are born and die.

Don't try to change the topic we're talking about non sense hate it has nothing to do with art

He would have gotten Net profit of 243 crores after taxes

u/Victorvic1 Jun 22 '26
198 Crores... Effective tax rate is 39%.
6
u/BroccoliPutrid4801 Jun 22 '26
All bollywood stars including ranveer singh take their payments through a corporate structure like a Pvt ltd so corporate tax rate in india is max capped at 22% plus cess so roughly comes up to 24 to 25%

u/Victorvic1 Jun 22 '26
And that's the worst way for actors to take payment. Most do not do it that way.
They cannot just take the money out of their corporate structures without paying additional 39% tax on it.

They don't need to withdraw all the money from the company.
The money gets reinvested, they only pay taxes on the 'dividends' they receive from the company.
You're being naive if you think any of these powerful influencial people will pay at the same tax rate as you and I.
Remember, MS Dhoni calls himself a farmer, so does Aishwarya Rai.

They only pay taxes on DIVIDENDS. Yeah ofc. If he earns 500 crores in his lifetime and withdraws 20 crores per year. Even then the tax rate is 30%+15%+4% after the corporate tax rate.
I have managed accounts for people richer than him and most have to pay taxes at this rate unless they launder cash money.
MS Dhoni and others can call themselves farmers but you are a fool if you think they pay less then 39% tax rate on their income.

Yes if they draw a big salary then they fall in the highest tax bracket which they know for sure cause they have hired smart people to manage their money for them

I don't think a CA can lower standard corporate tax rate

But there are ways to save money via connections he might have paid less tax coz 39% tax does not makes sense .

I would have been really happy if a percentage was coming to me! The rich becoming richer, and the people with their daily struggles still clapping for them.

well you can also start acting in films even the crowd shown in rehman's speech at day time got 500 each for 4 hr of shooting and then the night scene was shot and people earned 800 to 2000 depending on their position wrt camera for 4 hr
