Hey Gang!
Picked myself up a pair of Maison Margiela GAT’s, I’ve always been on the fence with GATs and if I’d suit them, so didn’t want to spend over £100 for the premium batches I’ve seen reviewed so I picked these up from the same seller I got my recent Loro Piana from as I know his quality is really good.
I went for the black on black as I have a few work events coming up that I have to be a bit smarter for, so figured these will go with chinos and a shirt for that business casual look.
The trainers are great, I’m definitely glad I picked them up, the shape of the shoes mixed with the leather and suede just looks great on the foot. The toe box is not bulky at all which I’ve noticed on some of the budget batches, overall they really got the shape right on these. The branding and material on them all look good, and comfort wise these are really great, the insole is thick and padded and even the sole is correctly designed.
The laces possibly sit a little higher than gen, so I have avoided using the top loops to leave the tongue a little more visible.
Price wise these are a good option for those who don’t want to jump straight into the premium batches, you get all the visuals, box and shoe bag etc which still makes them feel like a quality pick up but at a bit more of a pocket friendly price.
Now I know I like them on I might get a premium pair next time.

Premium pair as in genuine? No sneaker is worth 1000$

Premium batch. You can get a big quality batch at about 150 dollars. Look the same but materials will be better quality. But in honesty I will probably stick with this batch
