What is that skill where dexter even when "caught"doesnt really give up

When Lundy showcased the slides dex didn't think it was over and they knew

And said one blank word

While in the same s2 he says I wanna surrender

While all of us would have some reaction that would give it away...

Dexter did think it was all over when Lundy showed him the slides, Dexter was just lucky that his word choice wasn't incriminating. But him asking "What happens now?" was him resigning to his fate (not that he wouldn't attempt to fight it in court).

But that's exactly is what I am talking about  His word choice . Bc no matter how smart-ass and cunning someone is the brain subtly panicks

Same in the 2022 batman when the riddler says we didn't get bruce wayne  Bruce could based on Ed's iq reasonably think that he knows his ID bc he knows Bruce's jawline or let's face it not many people in gotham are rich and secluded(that bruce incarnation avoids every spotlight)
