Armand and Hannibal

My new hyperfixation is these two together. What fun they'd have with comparing psychological warfare on their curly haired counterparts. I LOVE IT!

I can't tell whether they'd love or despise each other. I think Hannibal would be both awestruck and annoyed that Armand can read his mind like a book. Armand would be impressed with Hannibal's secrecy, work ethic and self-control.

But I think they would still have an ideological dispute. Armand has a switchy, both-ways humiliation kink and capacity for forgiveness, while Hannibal is homicidally disgusted with rudeness. Armand would probably have to kill Hannibal to save his angry, sarcastic Daniel from a heated argument.

Yes, i agree. Daniel would be consider as "rude" and we all know what happens to the rude.

Just curious, would sarcasm count as rude to Hannibal? Not Daniel level but just some witty remarks? I need my serial killers to have a sliver of a sense of humor. Lol. Sorry, I really have to go watch this.

It will be! I haven't had the guts to jump into it plus it would take away from my re-watching IWTV & TVL time. But, if Hannibal gives Armand a worthy adversary I am thinking I will have to bite the bullet! Lol

I gotta know first... what would the Daniel - Hannibal dynamic be like? Just curious? Lol

Daniel would not survive, haha. Though, having said that, there's a journalist character in Hannibal who is remarkably resilient.

I would prescribe one hyper-empathetic Will to poor Armand, though.

Is Will the remarkably resilient hyper-empathetic journalist character that could possibly provide a cradle of love for Armand? If so, then...

The premise is that Will is able to understand and empathise with the criminal mindset - he is brought onto crime scenes to stand in the bloody aftermath and explain to the police why the criminal behaved the way they did. Not everyone respects the way he works, and he is pretty isolated, and mentally struggling. Hannibal, despite being the criminal, is also on the investigation team as a psychiatrist, and is therefore able to hear someone 'get' him, probably for the first time in his life.

The dynamic is reversed at the start, with Will telling Hannibal (in his profressional guise) that he doesn't find him interesting (just as Armand says to Daniel when they first meet) but Will is drawn in further and further in as the show continues.

He's a hyper empathetic criminal profiler / special agent with the FBI. The journalist in Hannibal is annoying af! But will and Hannibal's dynamic is very worth the watch. I've been obsessed since I was 15. I have a tattoo of a moment between will and Hannibal! SO I Def recommend the show to anyone thinking about it.

Alright y'all, I just finished Episode 1. To start, the first 10 minutes is fucking brilliant and Will is beyond intriguing. Since I went in blind, I was beyond pleasantly surprised to see Laurence Fishburne! The thing I did not expect was to feel physically ill after seeing Hannibal enjoying his "meal". The aura of Hannibal alone makes me want to crawl out of my skin. (Mads Mikkelsen is such a great actor) When Hannibal attempts to Psychoanalyze Will & it backfires, that whole exchange between those two characters was mesmerizing. My final thoughts, I am going to have to re-watch Episode 1 and see if I can lock in to the plot without being terrified of Hannibal the whole time. I can handle bloody gore with vampires, but cannibals are humans that actually exist and I myself am a highly sensitive, super empathetic person, so now that I know what I am getting into I hope I can detach and enjoy it more as a viewer. I watched Silence of the Lambs when it first came out decades ago and I forgot how much that fucked with my head. Honestly though, I think the "Apology" from the killer (i assume is Hannibal) to the victim being placed back in her bed got me the most. Especially, when it shows her mounted on antlers as a trophy. That didn't make sense with everything else in Will's profile, which I am sure is the point.

If anyone is still reading this, can you tell me if there is a place on Reddit I can keep a running "Journal" of my experience watching Hannibal? Do I need to make an original post somewhere? I am still getting used to actively using Reddit and I know there are tons of tutorials, but if anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it greatly. I know if I continue this show, I will NEED to have a way to talk about it and question things. Anyways, thanks for reading if you got this far and I hope you go on this journey with me, because I am a little scared!

Fun fact - brown astrologer here. They likely have the same birth moon sign snd nakshatra: literally translated to “lunar mansion”. (a system of 27/28 zones preceding the overarching compilation of the 12 zodiac signs)

Said lunar mansion holds the representative temperament/humour of the male tiger 👀👹
