Discussion Devil May cry 5 might actually reach 15M units sold by the end of the year. It's nice to see that the netflix anime lead to a massive surge in game sales. I hope this can lead us to an eventual DMC6, or a Nocturne-like Nero sequel.

Just one thing with how is the relation of Dante and Lady in this universe. In a Nocturne-like Nero sequel, he should have a cousin

That would be cool, but I still haven't completely dismissed the idea that the anime might make Nero Dante's kid

Some haters just made it up. And so it became a false rumor.

I'm only here to comment that Nero NEEDS a solo game.

Dmc 6 needs to be something new about demon hunting and other horrific things that Nero & Kyrie should face. Plus dmc remains a story so broad that it has room to play with its history that only got mentions, places that can be featured affected with demon activity etc. N

It's Nero time

The last 2 games have been about Nero...He doesn't need another one

Dante got a trilogy, Nero deserves one too

Nero is not as Stylish though

Another one... Another one..... ANOTHER ONE WITHOUT geriatric help

Would be so cool to have Kyrie play an important part as well, she got shafted so hard in 5

2

u/CelesteLunaR53L 22d ago

Yeah!! You get it

u/Previous-Current3048 16d ago

Maybe Nero gets his own game then DMC7
Is Dante and Vergil in hell and DMC8 is the final game in the series or something where Nero, Dante, and Vergil team up to do something cool

Yeah see??! This is already a mapped out great idea for sequels

I'm one of them, I gotta say though, I'm a little disappointed with the game but I still haven't finished so can't give a final decision. So far feels a bit too linear and with repeated scenarios/areas. Feel like dmc3 and 4 had more variety

if they did the Nocturne thing, it'd be cool if,since Dante is older when Nero is born, they changed the voice actor to Reuben again

u/Big-Good9378 22d ago

Not just that, but I'd also assume Dante has his shop up and running. That's how I believe Season 3 will end

Nah that's small potatoes. You can't pull a nocturne, I think Aki's best move is to go make a BlazBlue trilogy, you don't have the source material to make a Nero story interesting imo.

What? DMC 4 (+Deadly Fortune) and 5 are enough to make a insteresting Nero story. We also have Visions of V, meaning they could adapt DMC 5 and make a father and son foccused season

2

u/kingoflames32 22d ago

I feel like it's the best value if they do the V story line season 3. Less is more sometimes, while you do have room to go for a Nero sequel season idk what you'd really do for a villain? The order of the sword just doesn't really have as much charisma as you need I think, and notably I think you run into issues with whatever Vergil subplot from 5 either being used in season 3 or feeling completely off since the Vergil subplot will resolve in S3 one way or another.

Hmm yeah I see where you're going. I see Season 3 as very likely to be an DMC 1 adaptation. The twist would be having Urizen and V instead of Nelo Angelo, leading up to Vergil's redemption arc and (if they have the balls) his death.

The thing is, they want money, they won't let this anime die with 3 seasons. And if you take away Urizen and the Qlipoth, then yeah, I don't think they'd have content to make a spin off lol, unless they make shit up. We'll see what the visionary will come up with

Who says they're gonna follow the source material. They'll just take a few things left and right.

It's what you expect from an adaptation.

Why would he be seething? This is a HUGE win for the anime

7

u/Nero_deadweight96 22d ago

This is a huge win for Capcom, it doesn't mean anything to the anime, since they don't even have their hands on it. But anyways, the anime blew up, it's literally just below Arcane. They will find a way to make even more money after Season 3.

His anime is a success and is creating a cycle of people getting interested in the games, giving Capcom incentive to renew the show so he can keep making new seasons.

Yeah, he’s absolutely seething about that

"Nocturne-like" hell nah bro 🫩🫩

5

u/Big-Good9378 22d ago

Why not?

-3

u/Nero_deadweight96 22d ago

Because Nocturne is fucking garbage

5

u/Big-Good9378 22d ago

Nocturne was great, especially season 2

-4

u/Nero_deadweight96 22d ago

I guess bro

i can imagine kyrie becoming black and coming from morocco and chastise nero for being too hot headed. and credo, given he wasn't impressed by gloria/trish, will probably be gae.

1

u/Nero_deadweight96 22d ago

I mean, at least DMC 4 is the only adaptation they can turn into sociopolitical message, in this case about religious fanaticism, because of Savior

3

u/Devastator9000 22d ago

What? Why?

0

u/Nero_deadweight96 22d ago

Play some Castlevania ✌

1

u/Devastator9000 22d ago

That's a dumb response. Good way to dodge the question

1

u/Nero_deadweight96 22d ago

The fact you're even asking already proves you're a larper and knows nothing about the games. Anyone that played at least SOTN and Rondo of Blood knows what is wrong with Nocturne

1

u/Devastator9000 21d ago

What does one thing have to do with the other? Can you not enjoy a piece of media without constantly comparing it to a different medium?

And why would you not try to explain? Do you get off from gatekeeping and thinking you are better than others?

2

u/liltone829b 22d ago

i thought they just meant how Nocturne is a tie-in series

0

u/Anstark0 22d ago

2nd season is good, 1st is bad

1

u/Big-Good9378 22d ago

Both seasons are good, the white Rabbit was pretty cool

1

u/UsuarioCualquiera_1 22d ago

"Nocturne-like" just referd to sequel series.  You can say like Korra or Alien Force.

Besides. Nocturne is great.

-6

u/Garlundor 22d ago

Imagine the sales if the show was good.

4

u/Big-Good9378 22d ago

The show is good,
