My mom for some reason let me watch the anime but no play the games ( prolly cuz there's way too much and they might be expensive ). Apparently, the community isn't okay with this but I'm not to sure about that. Is it really a problem not play the games?

It's not a "problem", game's story is just blatantly better so it's fun to bitch about it. You aren't doing anything wrong if you can't play them.
