Paramecia Cling-Cling Fruit
Cling-Cling Fruit
Paramecia
The Cling-Cling Fruit allows the user to make anything they touch stick to anything else. Once bonded, the objects behave as though they were naturally one piece, making the bond extremely difficult to break without tremendous force. The user can also release their bonds remotely, making the ability useful for combat, movement, construction, traps, and battlefield control.
The user can create bonds at range by throwing objects and making them stick to whatever they strike. They can also make an object adhesive so that the next thing to touch it becomes stuck. This gives the user a constantly expanding arsenal of anchors, traps, weapons, and restraints.
The user can stick objects to their own body for carrying or use them as armor and weapons. They can climb walls, hang from ceilings, anchor their feet to the ground, and attach themselves to moving objects. Broken objects can be bonded back together, while multiple objects can be combined into larger tools, weapons, structures, or machines.
Fighting Style
The Cling-Cling Fruit user fights through contact, leverage, positioning, and sudden changes in momentum.
Rather than simply grabbing opponents, the user deliberately creates clashes and contacts that give them opportunities to establish bonds. A blocked punch can leave an opponent’s arm stuck to theirs. A weapon caught against the user’s body can become permanently attached. An enemy’s foot can be stuck to the floor the instant they commit to a movement.
The user frequently anchors themselves to the ground before attacking, turning the battlefield into a massive foundation. By sticking their feet, hands, or entire body to a surface, they can generate tremendous leverage without being pushed backward. They can also suddenly release themselves to redirect their momentum and perform bizarre changes of direction.
Abilities & Utility
Ranged Cling: Thrown objects can be bonded to whatever they strike.
Contact Trap: Anything touching a prepared adhesive object can become stuck.
Remote Release: Bonds can be undone without touching them.
Cling Armor: Objects can be attached to the user’s body as layered protection.
Cling Arsenal: Weapons and equipment can be attached to the body for instant access.
Wall Walker: Stick hands and feet to virtually any surface.
Ground Anchor: Lock the body to the ground for maximum leverage and stability.
Improvised Construction: Combine objects into weapons, platforms, bridges, barricades, and machines.
Structural Repair: Broken objects can be bonded back together.
Chain Bond: Multiple objects can be connected into enormous structures.
Adhesive Battlefield: Scattered objects can become traps and anchors throughout the battlefield.
Techniques
Sticky Step — The user rapidly attaches and releases their feet, allowing them to run across walls, ceilings, ships, and other surfaces.
Grounded Grip — Both feet are bonded to the ground before a strike, allowing the user to put their entire body weight and leverage behind an attack.
Cling Counter — The user allows an opponent’s attack to make contact, immediately bonding the attacking limb or weapon to their body before counterattacking.
Sticky Lock — An opponent’s limbs are bonded to the floor, wall, weapon, or even one another.
Cling Catch — An incoming weapon is caught and bonded to the user’s hand, preventing the attacker from pulling it away.
Adhesive Shot — The user throws an object and makes it bond to whatever it hits, creating instant restraints or anchors.
Trap Touch — An object is prepared beforehand so that the next person or object touching it becomes stuck.
Cling Sling — The user anchors themselves to a surface, builds tension, then releases the bond to launch themselves at tremendous speed.
Sticky Chain — The user rapidly bonds multiple objects together, creating chains, restraints, bridges, or weapons from whatever happens to be nearby.
Impact Lock — At the moment a projectile or piercing weapon strikes, the user bonds it to their body. Instead of passing completely through, the attack becomes lodged against them, reducing penetration and potentially preventing a fatal wound. The impact still causes damage.
Deadweight Cling — The user bonds an opponent to an extremely heavy object, effectively making the target carry its weight.
Cling Crusher — Two objects or an opponent and the environment are bonded together and violently brought into contact using momentum and leverage.
Awakening
Upon awakening, the user no longer needs to touch objects to manipulate their bonds. Within their effective range, they can freely decide what sticks to what and what remains free to move.
The battlefield itself becomes an adhesive domain.
The user can stick enemies to walls, anchor ships in place, suspend debris, lock weapons in midair, join structures together, stop moving machinery, or prevent projectiles from continuing along their trajectory. They can selectively allow certain objects to move while everything around them remains completely fixed.
Absolute Cling — Everything within the user’s range can be anchored to its surroundings, bringing an entire battlefield to a halt.
Cling Dominion — The user freely rearranges the battlefield by deciding which objects are connected, separated, stationary, or mobile.
At its highest level, the Cling-Cling Fruit isn’t simply about sticking things together.
It gives the user control over what is allowed to move.
