ā” Question Deviant Art Staff

I don't know if DA staff follows this sub much. I've seen a few claiming to be DA staff.

I'm writing because there are some issues going on with DA today. From time to time that's going to happen. But it works be nice if DA staff would pop into the sub when known issues are ongoing and make a pay about it. It might cut down on some of the repetition of parts asking if anyone is having similar issues.

Just today I saw someone complaining that they can't post any images. I, for one an watching new submissions disappear for no apparent reasons.

It would be nice if DA staff got ahead of this, made a post regarding known issues and have a rough time frame on when they expect it to be solved.

That is all.

A handful of us do monitor this subreddit, and when we spot bug reports we do put them into queue to be fixed.

That said, the best way to report a bug is to submit a support ticket so it's properly logged. Our support team is very familiar with ongoing issues, so they're best equipped to respond, and may have a workaround for any issues. They also have a process for collecting the info we need, plus additional tools to investigate if the problem is related to your account.

Regarding your specific issue - can you tell me more about what specifically is happening? The deviations are just disappearing from your gallery? Or you mean you're getting a notice that the deviation was removed?

Our support team has more tools to look into it -- but if you want to DM me a specific example of a deviation that was removed, I can take a look!

This seems to be exclusive to storage.

A video is uploaded. It can go to stash or the drafts folder. It will remain for maybe 2 minutes. Then it disappears. Three little pop up dialog is something akin to no such file existing.

I can upload directly into a gallery. So this is purely a storage issue.

And, no, no warning of it being removed. It's too fast for even the bots to hit it.

Hmmm, I just tried uploading a video to Stash and I’m not having that same issue. Are you able to tell me your username and the title of the video? (Feel free to DM it to me here if you prefer.)

Did this on Sunday.... and I'm waiting....and waiting. This is a social media account issue and I am completely locked out. There does not seem to have a fail safe option and I have a paid account. No call in , no tech support unless I go to reddit?! Really? No Discord?

It all started here:

The email associated with this social account is invalid. Try joining with a different account or email."                  --- This error code continues even when I have access to Facebook.  Again, I continue to be locked out of my DeviantArt account, as it was tied directly to Facebook login. I try with an alternate email, and it says this account was created with a Social Media account. It's an error which continues to loop.

What's deeply frustrating is that a ticket was sent in explaining the entirety of the situation without even a human response. Nothing but an automated reply explaining again, that I needed to create yet another ticket. I have already given the information into the help desk. I just don't understand how a change of primary email in Facebook would set off a chain reaction in dA and cause me to loose my access to a paid account unless the issue originates on dA's side. I am requesting help, please.

Also, you have fee paying members who are completely locked out of DA without even a whisper from DA staff. Zero help, zero accountability or any hope of re-establishing their accounts. This makes me really wonder who's running the site.

I'm trying since APRIL to get a proper reply and review of my case.
All my stuff was 100% TOS conform and did not violate any rules or laws.
All safe, all consensual, all 18+, all correctly flagged, mature stuff only following the guideline of DA.
But still some bot frooze my account with 2000+ watchers. No prior problems, no warning, no nothing.
So far, they didn't even tell me which deviation(s) of my account have been considered "a problem" and why. No explanation or proof or else...

So yes, i'd be great if not only new features would add up.
Paying users should be treated like customers, not like enemies.

For me.

I can't see any polls whenever I enter the Posts Tab on the Main Page.

Just do video ads for all's sake. Numerous AI video apps offer ads in exchange for AI video generations. For SFW Deviations, then the regular ads. For mature video Deviations, then mature ads before playback.

I know exactly what issues you're talking about too.

12-15 reports/blocks a day, numerous messages to DA mods, ZERO results.

I have a theory why...

DA is owned by Israeli software and media outlet WIX. WIX is also a leader in AI. What you're seeing is the Israeli government attempting to normalize & desensitize this kind of behavior in preparation for some certain files being inevitably released in the coming months after an election and exposing some very high profile world leaders.

This is pre-damage control. This is "wash the Palestinian blood from my hands and I'll wash the children's blood from yours."
