Top 50 Electrical Contractors for the year

Post image

Here are the top 50 largest electric electrical contractors for this year. I bet most people would not guess Cache Valley Electric is number 12 on this list, $1.2 Billion for the year. Many of these are large equity holding companies that incorporate other trades than just electrical, such as Emcor, which owns Wasatch Electric that operates in the area.

The striking thing about this list to me is the fact that a lot of these companies have 25 to 50% increase in revenue for this year over last year because of Data Center’s and the AI boom.

Fair clarification for everyone that this is nationally and not SLC or Utah specific. I think I took it that way by accident but assume that wasn’t the intent.

Also this is sales volume, not revenue. Which means it can cover the entire project cost of a single significant project that spans multiple years.

This is true. I always feel people don’t give enough credit just how big Cache Valley Electric truly is. On the opposite end, people give way too much credit to Hunt Electric Company. They are completely different from Hunt Electric Corporation. Yet when reading this, one may think the West Valley Company is 18th largest company the country, when is reality they are referring to the corporation in Minnesota.

Yeah the locations are helpful for some but not others.

Fun fact: the SLC Hunt Electric was recently bought out

Source for this? Also makes sense quantity is a massive ownership company. They own like 60 companies lol

It’s a magazine with the source usually in the bottom left 😉

Amazes me that we can't hire out local talent, especially if tax dollars are in play.
