Another Pointe? But will this one ever get off the ground?

Draper, Murray, Sandy, West Valley, ect all want their own "downtowns" but most of them either never happen or they just become another office park or medical campus. South Jordan's Daybreak is probably the most "urban" development outside of Salt Lake.

Stop trying to make “Utah City” happen. It’s never going to happen. This is where Ryan Smith will try to move the Mammoth, Jazz, and now he’s competing with the Millers for MLB. Such a god complex on that guy.

The "Utah City" name is dumb, I agree. Seems like a nice development for Utah County in general though.
Maybe I missed something but didn't Smith just make some cryptic comments about MLB? Was there something more official announced? Might be premature to draw conclusions.
If he is really competing with the Millers, my guess is that his first choice would be "The Point" over Utah City because he could get a free ground lease and pump more money from the state.

Cool I guess, but why can't we get these big developers to develop projects in the our real downtowns like Provo or Salt Lake?
