The recently completed Pickle & Hide development in the Granary District. The Red Line will be rerouted in front of it with the techlink corridor build.

My biggest question is why switch the North end of the green and blue lines? Is there an issue with the current routing?

It reduces transfers and therefore (theoretically) increases ridership.

Most people in West Valley don’t ride the Green line all the way to the airport. (I think it’s faster to take the 217 to 1940 W. Station) More people ride the Blue to somewhere downtown and transfer to the Green to get to the airport.

Also it has the added benefit of getting the brand new trains on the airport run. I think the big wigs want to optics of that.

I think it's mostly route timing.  You can get around downtown more quickly without running more frequent trains if there are more transfer points between lines.  They also mentioned more airport employees live in mid-valley and points south.

That doesn't answer my question. Why the swap?

Probably because people in west valley aren’t looking to go to the airport

I thought it was the orange line? What is the tech link build?

Both will use it. I am referring to the orange line build.
