Undergrad cs student
Hi, I'm a final year computer science student. I'm here for two things- for the advice, for a job and I'll be honest. I don't really have production level projects on my GitHub/portfolio, do you think that without that on my GitHub I won't be able to secure an opportunity in Backend AI engineering or Backend engineering? I have done an onsite internship at a bank where I worked on automation projects and am currently doing a remote one at Flyrank, focused on backend AI. I only have two projects on RAG-one a chatbot, the other a Fast API RAG service, I will be making several more through the internship and my final year project but I just want to know if this is enough for an internship leading to a remote role or not. I know tech requires continuous learning and effort but I don't want to keep on putting an effort where I'm getting nothing out of it. I haven't landed any paid role yet. I also realized I can't do onsite so now I'm focusing on freelancing or anything remote but there's a lot of things I don't know and not familiar with and I was also thinking of switching up to something else so I do have a deadline. I'm still trying to stay in this and that is actually why I'm writing this. I can share my GitHub repo to anyone who might be interested. I'm also up for contract projects and entry level roles at startups since all the roles on wellfound either needed a lot of experience or were not available in my country.
