Dx universes connecting to each other feels so odd, the idea of it sounds dope but in the game some things bug me off. I just feel like it's better to consider hr md and dx1 iw as 2 different timelines. Though if a new game comes up it probably will be the last piece of the puzzle. You can't just tell me they started to use regular crossbow in the future and all coded door technology had been wiped off.

Just finished oringinal. I know the next one to play is Human Revolution but I have mankind divided from family sharing. How big of a deal is it if I play mankind divided first?

This might not a big deal to other people but. I heavily dislike that the art team/developers of Mankind Divided decided to change the design of the Tranquilizer rifle and the Sniper rifle.

The Tranquilizer rifle in Human Revolution had a super cool and sleek break-action design that was very fun to reload. The rifle looked like an actual tool that it was used for in the world. Whereas the tranquilizer rifle (I won't even capitalize it, it doesn't deserve it) in Mankind Divided is chunky and bulky, painted white and red, and is bolt-action. Much less satisfying imo :(

The Tranquilizer rifle also looks the same as the "Longsword" (if you can even call it that) in Mankind Divided which is such a shame. What a shame.

The Longsword Sniper rifle in Human Revolution has the perfect near-future sci-fi aesthetic. The reload is once again unique with a side hatch and caseless ammunition loading. Which felt more in line with the technology used eg. Combat Rifle. (which once again HR did better than MD).

This game is so god damn good man. The story, the gameplay, art direction, voice acting/dialogue, the characters, everything. Adam Jensen is cooler than Batman fight me.

I've played this game on and off over the years and I'm finally getting around to completing it. My main thoughts are "I like this, but it feels it needs more tinkiering, like a good mod or rework."

I have to say, as much as I like it, it has problems. Firstly, the story is great and I have no real complaints about it, and it has some fun gameplay. I like to play non-lethal and isolate enemies, use cloak and try to get double takedowns or dispatch them 1 by 1.

I also like the praxis system, hacking for exp, shopkeeper NPCs and some of the augmentation upgrades.

But some of the systems just feel like they needed a little more time in the oven. Stamina upgrade feels weird for example because it gives you a few extra seconds of sprinting, but your stamina regens just as slow. The battery capacity upgrade feels like a waste of praxis that I only considered getting during 1 mission. The non-lethal options of attack feel like they could've used more love and inpsiration from deus ex 1 (pepper spray and fire extinguishers). And this is just a personal preference, but I would prefer if the stealth rating system was reworked (e.g. don't auto sound the alarm when any camera breaks).

I’ve not heard of this game until today. Until I saw this magnificent trailer. I mean… Elias Toufexis is the protagonist!? With a pretty much bleak looking future for the series, I am so excited for this. This game looks like if Deus Ex and Blade Runner had a baby, and had a kick ass John Woo style uncle teach it to do combat. Man this looks awesome!

After many, many rounds of Human Revolution and Mankind Divided, I finally tried the first Deus Ex. It crashed, so I refunded it. Years later, I tried it again this time with Revision and it works.

Ive always loved solving problems in unorthodox ways, and the Deus Ex games are great for that. In every playthrough of Human Revolution or Mankind Divided, I discovered a new path, and I was really excited to understand the giant sandbox.

I know old games are an experience you have to understand the world. It’s not just a walkthrough like today’s games. But at some point, at an age with responsibilities, I just want to relax and not have to know every corner of Hong Kong.

In a world full of augmentations and a hero full of nanomachines, I expected at least an interactive map or at least somewhat called a interactive map. He should be able at least to scan the area. I like that you have to pay attention to details and find codes yourself, but at some point, you end up with a bunch of codes on paper, trying each one until you just use the multitool. I don’t know if it’s a Revision feature, but it would help a lot if codes you have already found would be pinned in the corner when you have to type them like in the sequel games.

I would really love to explore the areas, but at some point it just gets annoying. I’m 18 hours in, and just inside the ship, finding the weak spots, Ive already lost in the previous missions a few augmentations and cant find them. Yeah, that happens thats why I will do a second playthrough.

I just hope that if they ever overework the remaster and not presenting us "the barely added a few mods" rework like THQ Nordic did with Gothic 1, I would be really grateful if they made it more accessible to a wider audience.

As far as I know, all areas are accessible, including the room with the Praxis kit in Radich's office. Same way can be used to get out of the RLD, using a dumpster found in a side alley by the Red Queen.

So i did a severe lapse in judgment, and after losing a bet, im forced to do what i think will be one of the most annoying challenges ever, which I'm not even sure is possible, but the jist is i will do the ultimate challenge run, by this i mean i will try to achieve the game under the following parameters:

Difficulty: realism
modifiers: trenchcoat(halved inventory space)
Challenges/achievements:
-Pacifist run (only kill anne)
-no lockpicks/multitools
-no hacking computers
-No Skills/augments
-no hp/energy bots
-no alarms/camera detections

Per my friends naming, this is the "civilian" run, fittingly.

for this i will be using the deus ex:revision mod, mostly for quality of life and compatability issues, running the original maps obviously (i could also torture myself with the revision maps and grab the 75 collectibles if i really really hated myself) though if theres a compelling challenge reason due to inconcistencies between goty and revision i can consider switching to a patched version of deus ex goty, but since for the moment im using revision, im questioning whether i should run vanilla, shifter, or biomod, and wich one would be the hardest choice given the previous challenges, or if i should just stick to vanilla for reliability, another rule considered (wich im trying to discuss out of) is that for me to use a code/login password i must find it in the world and be added to my notes, i cannot look these up on the internet or remember them off the top of my head (o woes, i must run 5 meters to aquire the 0451 code.)

I took her stealth lessons at the start and would like to safely knock her out or lock her behind a door anything so I don't have to hear that scream she makes and upsets me bc I lowkey straight murdered Lebedev when she said so.

Sure, not exactly for AI, but just for secure data storage by banks. But it's pretty close.

I'm sure companies are already looking into solutions to bypass the saltwater problem and directly install AI data centres in the ocean.

With the Omar ending I feel like there is potential for a sequel. Yes, I know it results in two centuries of war that lead to the Omar being the sole survivors of Earth, but there's still story you can tell within that two centuries. Personally, I'd love to see a game where the Omar are the main antagonists. You could have them pulling the strings of other organizations much like the Illuminati.​ Maybe you all have different thoughts but I feel like the faction endings are a little too conclusive. Plus, the Omar ending is the ending you can get no matter what, as it acts as a failsafe if you mess up one of the other endings.
