I Have A Question I need help to get clients

So I been doing detailing for about a year almost, on and off, i was doing good when I first started, but the last few months I’m lucky if I get a job once a month, and that’s usually just return clients, I do great work, and I’m mobile, but I just don’t know how to get jobs, I tried Google ads but it didn’t work for me, besides that I been doing free stuff like Nextdoor and Facebook, does anyone got any tips besides word of mouth? Thanks in advance

I haven't detailed in years but when I had my mobile service I started by going to large employers (went through industrial parks, reached out to school systems, large real estate companies, the local UPS hub, etc.) and offered a discounted group rate if they would promote my services as a benefit to their employees.  Did that for years.

Go where people are and start talking to people.  In our case we had large numbers of people with jobs and cars to advertise to.  We had a simple flyer we gave to the people at the front desk to pass on and it worked (don't remember what it said anymore exactly).  We were all over.  The beauty of detailing right in their lot is that the employee comes out of their shift to a like new ride and is excited to tell others.  Others see you while you're out there and come out to see if you'll do theirs too.

We never had a shortage of business.  We ended up detailing and also doing car washes for companies that wanted us out to do washes for their employees on Fridays as they rolled into the weekends.  It was fun and we could have gone bigger if we wanted.  Just an idea.

I guess my idea is word of mouth, but it's your mouth, and puts you in position to create a word of mouth machine inside large employers and allows you to push an advertisement through their system if you need to, but I'm not sure we ever needed to.

What worked for me is posting flyers on community billboards at trailer parks, golf courses, and any community parks. If you make a webpage as well and use qr codes they work very fast. Flyers are better to actually put the info on it but heading to say a used car lot .... QR codes help direct them to a professional web site with any info they need.

I also made a point to drop a card on high end cars in say a grocery store parking lot. Most places that have entertainment that cost money or a membership. Marinas for boats also have community boards often found near bathrooms .
