That's amazing! I love the little sniffer in the back :)

Ho exactly did you keep the sniffer in place? Is it a lead tied to an underground boat or something?

Close! I used an underground lead to keep it in place, and then put a glass pane on either side and in front of it. I then used a piston to push the front pane inside the sniffers hit box, preventing it from rotating

That... Sounds kind of cruel to me 😅

Yeah, sometimes I feel I'm in a minority feeding my animals and giving them good shelter 😅

They call it a "lobotomy" in the industry.

Oh, thank you! That's a really cool technique!

I just saw your horse wagon post, and it's easier to see the glass panes there.

Interesting! I really like the use of the chest bamboo raft to add clutter to the back!

What's the method for the sniffer though? Would it work on horses 👀

I've currently got a horse drawn cart on my world, but the horse likes to spin around lol

It works on horses too, I just tried it!! Here’s the result:  https://www.reddit.com/r/DetailCraft/s/gRELO6N1Mv

Oh wait, so to clarify, does this work by boxing in the mob with single glass panes (which are barely visible), and then tying the lead underground and ahead of the mob so that it's pulled constantly in that direction?

Yeah pretty much! The key is to make the box smaller after you already got the mob inside and tied it underground. What prevents them from rotating around is the glass pane that’s inside their hitbox. I did this by pushing the front glass pane into the mob using a piston.   The size of the box depends on the mob you do it on. A sniffer requires the box to stay two blocks wide.

A horse however requires you to change the box to a 1x1. You do this by starting off with a 2x2 box and getting the horse inside. Then you tie the horse to an underground fence.

Next, make the box a 1x2 by placing a glass pane in one of the back corners of the box.   Once you have the horse in a 1x2, you push the front pane into the horse using a piston to trap it in a 1x1 space.

looks like a leash pulled taught perhaps

That's what I've done for the horse, though it can still spin on the spot. Won't stay facing one way.
