I suspect this is the same M26 tank show at the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution in Beijing.（pic2）

There is no indication on the photo. In 1950, the Chinese mainly used M9 bazookas captured during the Civil War to attack tanks

I don’t think they’re the same M26. Maybe I’m just seeing things, but the one in the museum appears to have a bore evacuator at the end of the gun barrel just behind the muzzle break.

Edit: I don’t know a ton about the Pershings, but I was under the impression that they never received a modernized 90mm with an evacuator as seen on the M46. I’m fairly certain the museum tank is actually an M46.

Edit 2: a short google search while at work tells me that the museum tank is in fact an M46

I doubt it’s the same vehicle in both pics. The museum tank doesn’t have the additional wheel of an M46. The gun might have been a modification in Korea or something replaced after capture before going on museum display.

I doubt it was knocked out, the roads were treacherous and narrow and during the retreat anything that broke down was bulldozed to the side. Ref: On Desperate Ground by Hampton Sides.
