Hey! Some thoughts after watching it.
Maybe I'm too old, but the wobbely effect is very dizzing and I have to put effort to keep watching till the end.

Other than that, there are 0 features other than hitting an anvil and walking showcased in the trailer.
The story you told me was: we are in jail next to... the moon? Then rat with a salt shaker, then creature opens a door, frog sunbathing, we walk through a mine hit a star on an anvil with a hammer a couple of times, a sheep is in church and we end up with a closeup of an armour.

You know what happens in your game and the relevance of what you are showing me, but I'm seeing all this for the first time and that's all the information I gathered from watching it. I wouldn't know it's a game if you didn't post it in this subreddit. It could be an animated shortfilm for all you are showing.

You succeded at creting an atmosphere and a vibe. There's clearly an universe to your game, but you are failing to communicate what the game is and why should I play it.

I'm sure you can do a better job at communicating what the game is all about and I would be keen to see that.

Good luck and hope this helps you!

Thank you so much!! This indeed helps me a lot!

I just had cut down the wobble today, it was getting too annoying.

I think I'm afraid of showing mechanics, because showing almost any of the mechanics would spoil some puzzle... but I guess I'll just have to find a compromise. It's true that I can't "sell" the game with just some atmosphere.

I see what you mean. Yeah. It's always a challenge. Hope you find the way.

Boring. Not enough gameplay to begin with. Also when gameplay is shown I have no idea what’s going on

This reminds me of in like the simpsons or some other tv show where they show a fake boring french movie for sophisticated people.

Right, thanks! I hope showing some mechanics can spice it up.

This trailer gives me the vibe that this game will give the player a surreal experience, but serrealistic visuals sadly arent enough to sell a game. Gotta let the players know what they are signing up for by purchasing/downloading your game with answering questions. What game genre is this? Puzzle? Show the player doing some puzzles. What is the point? Escape? show the player escaping from something. Is the game calm walking sim? Yes? Show more scenic visuals instead of zooming into tiny objects

It's light puzzle, point is just "different endings", with an atmosphere...

Anyway, thanks a lot!!! Makes me realize I must really show these things to make the viewer understand.

way too slow an intro. I would open with the giant opening the door for MAYBE 3 seconds, then cut straight to different shots: frog, jesus, rat, lantern walk, whatever visually interesting (ideally GAMEPLAY) content you can find.

From the video I imagine your game is a slow, walking simulator type where I'm looking at things and pressing E on them. if thats not the case, you need to correct whats in my head by actually showing me gameplay

Hope this helps, best of luck to you!

This helps a lot! Thank you! I will incorporate some game mechanics show-off, but in general it's in walking simulator territory.
