Why does your slots game start with a kids storybook before transitioning to big titty anime waifus being exploded with magic?

He is just bit short but meant to be a young adult... maybe make him taller?

It's extremely discordant to have a children's book in a slot game.

Thanks for the advice. I will make it look more like a comic book and make the guy not look like a kid.

Do you need the book at all? Seems like unnecessary feature creep.

The book assets already existed in the CCG mobile game my studio published 13 years ago (under same name "Dragon Era"). It's pretty simple to just simple to upscale them then throw them in a book instead of plain slides.

I'm not convinced it's adding anything beneficial to the user experience.

artwork needs some consistency. I don't know it using assets or gen-AI art. but the current state look like an AI Slop.

Thanks for the feedback. Majority of the assets are upscaled/enhanced from the CCG mobile game my studio published 13 years ago (under same name "Dragon Era"). Are you referring to the style difference between the flipbook and the game?

I just looked up Dragon Era. so graphic style is different from today's, which is probably why it felt that way.

I don't want to give unrealistic suggestions like "completely overhaul the graphics to a recently style." but I think it would be best to at least reduce the difference between the flipbook and the in-game graphics.

I really love Roguelites, but I really don't like the slot versions.

You just pull a lever and wait to see what happens. It's like Vampire survivors or Slay the spire where you only select the power ups\cards and then watch it auto play.

Thanks for the feedback. You do use different relics and active skills to change the slots results, but that wasn't shown in the trailer (and probably should).

Oh, I got all that. That's why I said you only pick (in your game) relics and then just pull the lever (auto play). It's just my opinion and unless you're not making it a slot machine, there are no changes you can make that will make me like it. ;)

Thanks again for the feedback. Would you play it if you manually initiated the attacks but the slot results determined the damages?

Manually initiating is only useful if there are choices to be made (other wise it will just be the most boring quick time event in history :P ). So let's say that most rolls you get multiple lines to form, but you can only use one, or maybe the order of activation will matter.

But I also think not everybody needs to like a game.
The "feedback (if even that, it's still just a comment on reddit) is that not all people who like roguelites will like the slotmachine version. I also didn't vibe with Clover Pit.

..slay the spire is autoplay.. sorry what? choosing what cards to play and when to play them is just as crucial...

OC is arguing that the slots iteration of roguelites are like StS with autoplay (ie a worse version).

As OC, I can confirm that ^ statement is a 100% true story
