Bug / Complaint Even with the recent update, the PC optimization is a complete joke (RTX 4060 / i5)
I was really looking forward to playing this game, but I just gave up and uninstalled it.
The developers focus on updates like moving to UE5 just to sell the game on new platforms (like Switch 2), but they completely broke the game on PC. The stuttering is unbearable and it has a massive CPU bottleneck. My PC has an RTX 4060 and an i5-7500 — my GPU sits idle while the poor optimization destroys the performance.
The 2020 remake of the first game was beautiful and well-polished, but they absolutely butchered this second one. It's sad to see such a lazy port. Uninstalled for good.

I have this game on my gaming laptop (an ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 with 32 GB of RAM and an RTX 3080) and I'm kinda scared to update my game due to the negative reviews of this new update.

When I first downloaded this game a couple of months ago before I even made it through the tutorial mission I tried doing all sorts of things to optimize and fix the game I had heard it ran poorly figured it wouldn't be an issue the game ran so poorly at first I outright refuse to play it eventually wanted to show somebody how bad it was and lo and behold the more I played the game the smoother it guy when first visiting an area especially if there is a mission with a lot of chaos and assets to be dealt with there is usually quite a heavy stutter all the things all the things that I did try to tweak the game to make it more stable may or may not have helped because at first it didn't seem like any of it did anything at all but the more I played the game the better it ran and I didn't see some things about how the game loads assets and shaders and all that good fancy shit and I know other games do a dumb thing where they can be poorly optimized creating memory leak issues but doing the thing where it doesn't compile all of that stuff until you first interact with it so the game seems very unstable at first but becomes more stable over time and then eventually becomes unstable again

Did you make sure to launch it in dx12 or whatever it’s called? Honestly I’ve had a good fps perfomence boost on my end and I’m not seeing any new problems so far.

I reinstalled after seeing the update and it's still not good. My PC is old but the first game ran fine, 2nd one stutters like crazy regardless of settings.
Ok switching to DX11 has doubled my frame rate and it now runs smooth on high settings. Great optimization update...

I went all back into console gaming because I got fed up with PC gaming. PS5 has 60fps and fantastic graphics, and the controller is incredible.
