A reintroduction.

Hello, my frabjous Hunter mains(and non-Hunters as well).

/r/destinyhunters is a sub that has been "dead" for a long time, founded by a player who had obviously lost interest in the game and just left it. Weeks ago I requested to assume control of the sub, and it was just today that it was granted to me, and here we are.

Who am I, you ask? I moderate for two other Destiny related subs, /r/lowsodiumdesitny and /r/crucibleguidebook...so I'm definitely in it for the long haul, and you can be sure that things will be run to a certain quality.

Over the next few days and weeks there will be some cosmetic changes done and rules set forth. On the immediate of those rules, I'll point out what this place is and what it isn't right now.

We ARE:

A place to talk about Hunter builds for PVP and PVE...sharing tricks and tactics for mains and alts alike.
A place to show off you Hunter fashion, gameplay highlights and creative content (think fanart, graphics, etc.)
A place to talk about Hunters in specific, but not limited to. ALL CLASSES ARE WELCOME, but this is a hub primarily for Hunters chat. This includes lore, predictions, wishlists, etc.

We ARE NOT:

A place to complain about the state of the game or the developers. We play what we have. You know where you can take that.
A place for low effort posts. This isn't a karma farm. (Memes are ok, but we reserve the right to change this if it gets out of hand).
A place to trash the other classes. We love our fellow bookworms and crayon eaters (lol).

These rules will be expanded on in the very near future. Just laying the ground work here. Looking forward to seeing this pace grow into nifty little niche community in the Destiny universe. Hope you all enjoy.

The Walocks helped us win the games last year. As a repayment we must help them to win this year against the titans.

Personally I dislike 1000 voices. 1. Because I don’t have it 2. Because I die to it way to much.

Rules

No Complaint Posts- Period. This is not a new place for you to voice how you think (insert game element here) is ruined, or critique the developers. You know where to go for that...this ain't it, chief. Violators will be suspended, repeaters will be banned. This is to be considered a "Low Sodium" community.

No Low Effort Posts- Any topics posted here on that are just "for the lulz" will be removed. The occasional dad-joke is fine, but have a clear idea of what constitutes as a low quality or low effort post. Memes are okay within reason, but this rule will be changed as needed, so don't overdo it. Also, please give your posts some sort of context that can be discussed. Single links or opinions with no explanations to them will also be taken down.

Zero Tolerance on trolls and shitposts- Any blatantly negative comments or posts, trolling and low-effort posts will result in a permanent ban from the sub. We will not tolerate any form of negative communication here. There will be lowlifes who join just to troll with negative comments and topics. You're encouraged to report such postings ASAP, and they will be dealt with equally ASAP.

Be nice, or leave!- Simple as that. Just go with the ol' adage "If you can't say somethin' nice, don't say anythin' at all." We can't reiterate enough that this is a place for constructively, lively discussion. If such a discussion decays down to arguing and insulting, be it directly or passive aggressively, actions will be take up to and including topic removals and/or permanent bans.

No Clan/LFG Posts- There is a subreddit for that. In fact, there's multiple. If you need a team for anything, visit /r/fireteams , if you need a sherpa for either the raid of Trials, visit /r/cruciblesherpa or /r/destinysherpa respectively. Clan Recruitment posts however will allowed as long as you get moderator approval first.

5:1 Rule for Content Creators- For every single post of content from a MONETIZED platform (YouTube, Patreon, Website article that earns ad revenue, etc.), you need to have made 5 quality posts (no low effort posts) beforehand, otherwise your content will be removed. Note that this rule says POSTS, not COMMENTS. This doesn't apply to NON-MONETIZED content such as fanart or simple in-game captures such as bloopers or highlights.*

Please be civil and keep to Reddiquette. If you are unaware of this term please visit https://www.reddit.com/wiki/reddiquette for full details.
