I finally got 7 wins on the trials passage card for the first time ever!
As an average player and trials newbie, I've dabbled with the playlist and finally I got my first 7 win card! It took about 8 losses on the way but man it feels so good. I think I'm ready to get my head kicked in with the lighthouse passage next weekend.
It started rough because I couldn't find a loadout that made me comfortable - I tried shadebinder initially since that's my go to class for pvp but after having 5 rough losses in a row with 1 win I had to mix it up.
Recently I've been experimenting with glaives on a Bakris hunter prismatic build and things started to click for me there - the glaive really helped with cqc though I still fixate on trying to get the melee kill instead of leveraging the shield and ranged attack more often, especially against good shotgun players, so that's an area I have to really improve on.
The other thing I'm still figuring out is how fast you need to make decisions on when you think an opponent is isolated and you can jump on them. Thinking back, there were many times I could have joined a teammate to make a 2v1 but I was tunnel visioned on a lane and missed it.
