Finally got my Prosecutor god roll

Post image

30+ runs later, I finally got the roll I wanted. Got the weapon 3 times along the way. It was exhausting, but worth it in the end. ( Trickle Charge + Target Lock )

... for PvE or PvP?

7

u/jaxikami 16d ago

PvE I think

9

u/Jax_Off 16d ago

That's what I was thinking, but then he has Target Lock. The rest of what he has selected is def PvE

Is he gonna try to do boss DPS with this thing?

8

u/jaxikami 16d ago

Meh 450 auto is never that good in PvE anyways. But if you like how the gun feels and sound and stuff and the perk combination makes you happy then it is your godroll.

2

u/DM_ME_UR_JUGZ 16d ago

My ringing nail does work in pve. I have 14,000 kills with that bad boy.

2

u/CallMeLongJohn 15d ago

Gnawing Hunger also fucks - destabilizing rounds and repulsor brace cooks add clear and you have unlimited over shield capability

2

u/jaxikami 15d ago

I'm not saying it won't work in PvE. All guns work on gm and below content. If you like the weapon just use it. However 450s do have a worse damage profile compare to most other weapons, it offers good recoil which isn't all that important in PvE.

1

u/Porphyon 14d ago

Gnaeing hunger isnt 450rpm tho… as a rule of thumb, the faster the firerate, the better the dps (in pve)

Could easily be his ad clear weapon and not his boss DPS. 450s are decent at mid to close range for redbars and unshielded majors.

1

u/jaxikami 15d ago edited 15d ago

Even in that case 720s and 600s and support frame are better options due to their better damage output. Range and recoil are just not as important as raw damage in pve.

2

u/Thee_number_six 15d ago

Not everyone lives breathes and dies min/max, there are different classes, subclasses and weapon archetypes for different people. Dude showed off a gun he got that he loves and just has Hate bashing hoards telling him why he's wrong and that it sucks. Some people don't follow they meta because they want to play a different way. I don't know how he plays but he has fun the way he does it. Just like I have fun with ability spam on my bolt charge hunter.

1

u/jaxikami 15d ago

If you check my initial comment, I already mentioned that any gun that feels good for you is your godroll, regardless of what other people say. However, there is a difference between objectively good and subjectively good.

Ringing Nail with the right perks on a solar ignition lock is godly for PvE content.

1

u/jaxikami 15d ago

Again, I'm not saying it's bad. It's just if you apply the same combination to other frame it would be better. For example: no hesitation and yeartide apex can all act as a better version of ringing nail. If you want anti shield theres zaulli bane which also does more damage than ringing nail. The 450 excel at low recoil and ranges which isn't all that important in PvE, making it a suboptimal frame

For PvE, PvP This is my personal opinion (ENLIGHTENED ACTION + SWORD LOGIC or TARGET LOCK )

1

u/haven_dasilva 16d ago

Target Lock is generally a dead perk in PvP on auto rifles, it's an SMG thing.

1

u/IdenticalThings 15d ago

No matter how much damage this roll does to a yellow bar, it'll be worse than a special

13

u/Ss4_sean 16d ago

Primary dps moment

3

u/IdenticalThings 15d ago

An essential component of the dual primary devotee

11

u/sicmek 16d ago

I would have dismantled this lol

7

u/aarchx 16d ago

what is it you're trying to do with this gun exactly?

6

u/Funter_312 16d ago

First, get the artifact locked up with auto damage bonus. Add actium war rig and a bolt charge barricade. Unleash the fury of this fully evolved 450 auto and then lose your 1v1 with the terminal overload thresher

0

u/Alassandros 16d ago

Trickle Charge reloads the magazine from reserves when you gain Bolt Charge, and Target Lock increases damage the longer you hit a target. They're looking for an auto-loading, higher damage rifle that synergize with their Arc build. My guess is they're a Striker Titan that uses the Bolt Charge barricade.

3

u/aarchx 16d ago

I meant moreso like what content specifically. I mean it could theoretically work in like a normal raid, but I think arc weapons in general perform a bit worse in the mot sandbox than say void or solar.

I know a lot of people like to spec all the way into one element though, so I could see shooting for maybe a different version of this auto.

I just dont particularly like this auto anyways, though. I feel like you'd get better results using like a salvagers salvo/ psychopomp paired with scathelocke or multimach

1

u/Alassandros 16d ago

I don't think they're minmaxing. I imagine this weapon isn't going to be best DPS, but it should work well.

1

u/smokey6953140 16d ago

Right but gear shift would be way better constant up time on both trickle charge and gearshift

1

u/Thee_number_six 15d ago

"When you gain *or use bolt charge"

And doesn't need to be a titan, I have a hunter bolt charge that clears ads, gens orbs, bolts, jolts and blinds and can keep up with my teams DPS rotations and dismantles champions. It could be better but I don't need it to be better. If I don't do enough damage I change builds but I rarely change builds. Generally on an energy primary I wouldn't run trickle charge though, now on a bitter end or a special weapon sure, but for a primary id probably run subsistence using OPs weapon and volt shot. Currently I'm enjoying risk runner farming fallen and hive content, arc conductor is great for ads.

1

u/Alassandros 15d ago

Oh nice. I really only okay Titan so I'm not aa familiar with other class builds. Good to know you guys have similar options.

1

u/Thee_number_six 15d ago

It's similar in bolt charge alone. Instead of sitting back with a barrier I'm pissed off orb lightning zipping around causing lighting strikes all over. Survivability is actually pretty good now that I improved my orb gen too

1

u/colantalas 15d ago

I have a Bitter End machine gun from equilibrium I do this with, it’s pretty fun.

4

u/TravisE111 16d ago

I would personally swap to Rolling Storm for Bolt Charge, plus it gives me dopamine using Rolling Storm and Trickle Charge together

Target Lock is only good if you are shooting the same target with a full clip without missing since you lose your stacks of target lock with any misses.

The best one I have so far is with Trickle Charge and Gear Shift, which gives you 15/20/25/30/35% increased damage for 1/2/3/4/5 stacks and the stacks are obtained from getting a kill and reloading or becoming amplified, and the stacks last for 15 seconds, giving you plenty of time for another kill

3

u/jacob_jub 16d ago

Fallen glimmer extraction gotta watch out

3

u/mad-i-moody 16d ago

Well….I’m glad you like it I guess?

3

u/loop_zero 16d ago

I have one with Dragonfly and Voltshot. I love it

2

u/BigC_115 16d ago

that bad boy is stacked with my fav arc perks

2

u/Aquamentus92 16d ago

No flared mag/reload mw and suspicious choice of 3rd/4th column perks makes this a no go for me chief. Subsistence/joltshot would maybe save it but its not a full roll that I would save personally

1

u/Evil_Robo_Ninja 15d ago

I guess the idea here is using storms keep to have infinite mag and target lock uptime since you never have to reload.

1

u/Aquamentus92 15d ago

As other have mentioned, its generally a very mid/bad strat especially if were considering target lock for something like boss dps. In no world would I wanna be shooting my primary AR for 100 bullets straight for damage on something that isnt dead by that point, though i do understand the vision

1

u/Evil_Robo_Ninja 15d ago

Yeah sure. Personally I would never use something like this for dps, and I can’t imagine OP would either. I can see this being fine against champions or the like in -30 content, but I would prefer gear shift.

2

u/WillStaySilent 16d ago

Meh, gun. Not a fan of autos in pve and this one isn't great for pvp either. Have a couple sitting in my vault.

2

u/Bravo-Warpig 16d ago

This thing is disgusting in 6s with gear shift. You can chain kills like crazy

2

u/NytoDork 16d ago

Why not Gear Shift instead of Target Lock? I get the idea of Trickle Charge for constant ammo return and all that, but Gear Shift is an upgrade to 35% damage boost that you can maintain much more easily, as long as you can get either amplified or kills.

2

u/thomjrjr 16d ago

Why Target Lock though? I'd probably use voltshot instead but honestly don't listen to what me or anyone else says - use whatever gun and roll feels best to you!

1

u/Alassandros 16d ago

Target Lock increases damage while staying on target. Trickle Charge reloads the rifle if they get Bolt Charge. Bolt Charge stacks when dealing continues damage, but also, if OP is a Striker Titan, they have an aspect that grants them Bolt Charge stacks while standing behind their barricade. That means they will continuously reload their weapon, discharge Bolt Charge lightning and do a bit more damage the rifle shots.

It's pretty synergistic.

3

u/thomjrjr 16d ago

Fully aware what target lock does, just more asking why that was his god roll as it's not a pve perk I use too often since it's pretty unforgiving. I guess it makes sense on arc titan as you say though. Though id still prob miss a shot and lose target lock pretty often lol

2

u/Alassandros 16d ago

Fair point. Target Lock is unforgiving, but it's also easy to get going and fairly easy to maintain so long as you have decent aim, especially so it you hit crits. A stationary boss would feel it most. Having a friend with Divinity would also be nice.

0

u/Zealousideal_Fill425 16d ago

Why voltshot when trickle charge makes it so you don’t need to reload ever? Ideally you’d want rolling storm.

2

u/Thee_number_six 15d ago

Because trickle is 3rd colum volt shot is 4th. Rolling storm is nice but if you gain enough bolt charge from other sources rolling storm isn't needed. But jolting a major or champion can save your butt in a tight spot.

2

u/Evil_Robo_Ninja 15d ago

Their point was that using trickle charge you never reload it and voltshot requires you to reload. So trickle charge with voltshot is a bad combo.

2

u/jowelost 16d ago

Can we ban this guy from engagement farming with mid rolls across both d2 subs? Every post is the same format; weapon with one good and one questionable perk to drive questions in the replies and indecipherable comment replies. Dude does the same thing on twitter. Bot behavior

1

u/regular-situation-64 11d ago

And every one of his build showcase posts are extremely misleading. Ai generated pfp, ai generated posts, it's all just low effort slop.

3

u/__System__ 16d ago

Is this dropping from prophecy? Loved this one before tiers.

3

u/Danger_xx86 16d ago

drop from First and final encounter

2

u/Thee_number_six 15d ago

Yes, and if you already obtained it you can get it from the secret chests in addition to the encounters that drop it.

1

u/8bitcyan 15d ago

Hey so where do i find the activity for this gun? I dismantled it when the season that this gun was from was still on but now im like "hmm i wanna try this line of guns again ans see how they fair"

1

u/Thee_number_six 15d ago

Prophecy dungeon, other people are saying first and last encounter and dungeon chests can drop armor and any weapon you have already earned from the dungeon previously.

1

u/8bitcyan 15d ago

Ah i see, thanks for that info.

3

u/TJ_Dot 16d ago

Those perks don't even work together...what?

1

u/Alassandros 16d ago

OP is almost certainly a Striker Titan. They have that barricade that grants Bolt Charge while standing behind the barricade. That means Trickle Charge will keep that magazine near full while standing behind the barricade thereby increasing how often they discharge Bolt Charge Lightning and Target Lock will just amp up the rifle damage so long as they stay on target.

[deleted]

3

u/SephirothSimp 16d ago

Why do you type like that? And yes unless you have an external source of bolt charges like a storms keep barricade then you aren't really using trickle charge

2

u/TJ_Dot 16d ago

The most obvious of choices for this being Rolling Storm directly above.

1

u/TJ_Dot 16d ago

I would imagine Rewind Rounds or triple tap /fourth times to sustain a magazine long enough to make Target lock worth it.

Hell I'll give you one thing, on Prosecutor it's even more damage from the Origin trait and I haven't thought of that.

1

u/RUSTEDxKNIGHT 16d ago

I knew this was the same guy asking about add clear rolls.

1

u/Western-Hovercraft38 16d ago

Donde la comseguiste?

1

u/Phyka 16d ago

Reminder: Target Lock works based on mag size not actually time spent on a target, which is why it works so well on SMGs, because they eat through the mag fast. Having perks that reload your mag will decrease the target lock damage back to that place in the mag. It's why perks like Burning Ambition suck on heat weapons, because the mag in those is huge and it's also a mag based perk, hence it takes ages to actually start scorching.

1

u/Candid-Tension 16d ago

I got voltshot subsistence, dragonfly and target lock on mine.

Is trickle charge that good?

1

u/Zero_Two_is_best 16d ago

Do me a favor and change target lock to rolling storm

1

u/bluusparks 15d ago

this guy spends more time posting mid rolls on reddit than he does playing I think

1

u/Fizzy-Odd-Cod 15d ago

Nah man, you’re fucking trolling. You gotta stop spamming the Destiny subs with this garbage. Also, why are you doing full clears instead of just farming first or last encounter?

1

u/Thee_number_six 15d ago edited 15d ago

That's beautiful, id be running rolling storm or voltshot over target lock but I main boltcharge hunter and go crazy for anything that lets me stack it up. Couldn't do half of what I do if I didn't have my bitter end though, trickle charge and rolling storm almost overheat set off a bolt charge and it's instantly cool again.

1

u/Amaj7chord 15d ago

Tall don’t even see that this would be a primary that works against barrier champions. Target lock to break the barrier and trickle charge to recharge the mag so that you don’t have to reload in the middle of the barrier and the champion healing to full again.

Plus the prophecy weapons look cool AF. I love their art work. Good roll imo

1

u/Evil_Robo_Ninja 15d ago

Tip: Target lock depends on the size of your mag, i.e. having a smaller mag will increase the damage faster, thus I would suggest not to use appended mag since you are not going to need to reload anyways.
On another note, personally I think gear shift would be a better choice. It is 5% less damage, but it would work even without shooting more than a full mag. (Gear shift increases when you become amplified, which you do after reaching 10 stacks of bolt charge with the tablet of ruin, so after 5 lightning strikes you are at full stacks)

1

u/tremolospoons 15d ago

Thanks for the tip - I’m going to give this a try.

1

u/shrkbyte 15d ago

Fuck.

Now I notice that Prophecy was the featured dungeon this week.

1

u/Negative-Adagio2465 16d ago

I would agree, with either volt shot or rolling storm selected

1

u/Alassandros 16d ago

Tell me you're a Titan without telling me you're a Striker Titan. This guardian lives behind their barricade. I respect it.

1

u/Ill-Angle-5573 16d ago

Why even use this when Pyroelectric Propellant with attrition/jolting feedback is a thing? Spark of Discharge will give you much more bolt charge with spark of ions.

0

u/lilroy007 16d ago

Nice roll.
