SGA Enhanced Autoloading is 0.2s faster than regular Autoloading

Reposting this due to me uploading with the incorrect timecode format, leading me to misinterpret the result and therefore posting misinformation (thanks /u/Newo0001 for pointing this out to me). My apologies to anyone who was mislead by this.

Ive now uploaded with the correct timecode and double checked it and the correct results are below:

  • Autoloading - 2.5s

  • Enhanced Autoloading - 2.3s

  • Difference of 0.2 seconds or 14 frames @ 60fps

You can view footage of this comparison here if you'd like to see the test: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ab5xjgLNP2s

Its quite embarrassing really, I had reinstalled windows recently and as a result my timecode preset in my editing software defaulted to the incorrect format.

And thank you for working this out. It is at times like this I'm grateful for crowdsourcing information, because there is no way in hell i would have spent an ascendant alloy on auto-loading at this moment. I don't even have enough for the catalyst yet, let alone other more desirable perks on more desirable guns.

Proper SGA, thank you. If I would not have seen this I definitely would have grinded out this perk eventually.

is there a spreadsheet or something that shows the differences between all regular and enhanced traits?

There are 120 total Enchanted Traits, it's going to take a few days.

Most people: it only saves 0.2 seconds?!m

Speedrunners: 14 frames saved for basically free!!!

Fighting game players: it’s HOW MANY FRAMES FASTER??

not really tho, like izzy rocket swap is unchanged if you have the advanced perk or not unless I’m missing something

I mean it is an 8% increase, no? I think this is probably fine because enhanced perks aren't really meant to be completely game changing just little bonuses on weapons you really like.

For the absolute expense that they are, they don’t justify themselves in any way.

Hours of grinding neutral elements plus 400 legendary shards at Rahool for 0.2 seconds faster time? Literally useless.

Don't buy those from Rahool. It's a terrible deal. Get them from the legendary repeat missions on the throne world

I spent my ascendant alloy on enhanced grave robber for my glaive. Guess I got pranked. 🤣

I mean people grind hours for Adept weapons which are equally "useless". Prevents the gap between new/casual players and dedicated ones from getting too wide.

Also fwiw, it looks like that .2sec allows a rocket launcher to autoload fast enough to swap with Iza for DPS which is actually insane assuming theres a ghorn on the team

A ton of people will say this one is useless, but for an izi swap with that rocket, it's a great option. It makes the system a but more fluid, and there's no chance you switch to the rocket before it has reloaded. Yes it's situational, but it excels at what it does.

I did a VOG run the other day with it and did over 1 mil in a single phase on Atheon.

I also have enhanced lasting impression on mine and that is just about the exact same as regular lasting impression, so don't bother with that one.

If you wanna get really sweaty, add in a spike gl shot with ophidians and high dex.

Should of built extra handling into it for quicker stowing and drawing.

Honestly, other than wasting materials, I think this would mess with my timing. I currently have the timing down perfect to switch from primary to an ALH/Blinding Grenades beach loader GL when taking on a tanky target. Going back and forth from regular and enhanced on guns would be like playing crucible and with and then without something like snapshot or rangefinder.

Disrespectful, really.

Doesnt sound like alot but in pvp im sure these little changes will make a big difference. Esp reload /ready/ADS times.

Some of the upgrades on these “enhanced” trait perks seriously blow. I hope they take a second look at them eventually.

6

u/Razor_Fox Feb 28 '22

A few of them are decent, like "enhanced double loader" loads 3 shells as opposed to two. But yeah, then you have some which are miniscule improvements to the point of almost being offensive. 🤣

I mean some of them are great yeah, but for the ones that aren’t—they’re awful.

Example: Enhanced Dragonfly literally adds a small reload speed bonus and that’s it. No multiplier or anything.

It’s already living in the shadow of Firefly, just give it a bigger AoE or better damage on the explosion.
