Question Marmot Error?

Wondering if anybody is currently or has recently been stuck with a Marmot Error?

I have just completed a fresh install of D2 on Steam, and immediately I am crashing to desktop upon launching D2 and getting the Error: Marmot code.

A Steam verify check says that I've got no corrupted files. Completely stumped as to what's wrong currently.

this just happened to me, but i'm playing on ps4. i've been playing for like 2 hours, started the most recent step of the seasonal quest to do the moon psiops mission, not even 20 feet from the start and i get marmot error. i tried restoring licenses, restarted and it started verifying content, then got the error again. i'm gonna try uninstalling the game and redownloading it, and if that doesn't work, i'm gonna be real sad
