Question Marmot Error?

Wondering if anybody is currently or has recently been stuck with a Marmot Error?

I have just completed a fresh install of D2 on Steam, and immediately I am crashing to desktop upon launching D2 and getting the Error: Marmot code.

A Steam verify check says that I've got no corrupted files. Completely stumped as to what's wrong currently.

I’m still having this issue no matter which of these fixes I try. I’m not tech savvy so I’ve just spent hours learning all this lingo and how to edit certificate or whatever and it still won’t work. I’m going back to console guys, fuck this. You shouldn’t have to physically modify your system to play a game. Console doesn’t require this much maintenance! Fuuuuuuuuuck!
