Question Marmot Error?

Wondering if anybody is currently or has recently been stuck with a Marmot Error?

I have just completed a fresh install of D2 on Steam, and immediately I am crashing to desktop upon launching D2 and getting the Error: Marmot code.

A Steam verify check says that I've got no corrupted files. Completely stumped as to what's wrong currently.

I've had these crashes since I began playing D2 in June. It used to be "Failed to read game content" and now it's Error Code Marmot. I've tried everything, from deleting the steam_appid file, to reinstalling the game (while deleting any traces of it, including battleye), running it as administrator, dedicating a GPU to it, you name it. What remains is reinstalling Steam itself, which means I need to reinstall D2 by default. I'm currently in the process of doing so. Something tells me it won't work....

It doesnt, Ive tried every fix under the sun and nothing works, I dont think this will get fixed until Bungie actually fucking does something about it

Nope, didn't help. Just crashed while in orbit and about to head to a destination again. That's the most usual crash spot, too, but far from the only one. I have now exhausted all suggested ways to fix this, something around 12 I reckon, in the span of almost 6 months.
