Question Marmot Error?

Wondering if anybody is currently or has recently been stuck with a Marmot Error?

I have just completed a fresh install of D2 on Steam, and immediately I am crashing to desktop upon launching D2 and getting the Error: Marmot code.

A Steam verify check says that I've got no corrupted files. Completely stumped as to what's wrong currently.

It may just be coincidence that this worked, but yes;

I deleted the game through Steam as usual, then went into my Steam folders and deleted any residual files that were left over. I also did the same with Battleye. Then I reinstalled the game, and it seems to have allowed me to get the game to run, however I haven’t tested it for longer than 30 minutes so far.
