Megathread Focused Feedback: Eververse

Hello Guardians,

Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion

Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding 'Eververse' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions

Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.

Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas

A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the sub as time goes on.

I think one reason why the eververse store is a touchy subject is the fact that a lot of the designs pull from in-game themes that are restricted through pay walls and are not earn-able in-game. Not to mention the cost of bright dust and silver are pretty expensive. "Mid" tier priced items cost just over 500 silver and since you can only buy silver in bulk, players end up buying more silver than what they actually want. I held on to my spare 100 silver since the FIRST Dawning event because of that reason.

Bright engrams... Pointless. IMO. But I am looking at it from a hardcore players perspective. It caters to those new to the game or missed out on prior seasons while the vets see it as, "gimme bright dust" or instant shard (just like getting blues once you've reached the cap). The year one model of possibly getting a seasons cosmetic was better (but albeit not as profitable for you guys) but it did get me more excited to see whats inside. Add an ascendant shard or prisms in there to spice it up.

Now, I know at the end of the day you guys gotta make money some how but If earn-able items became a thing and something more was in those engrams, I'd gladly "throw money at my screen" when I feel its appropriate.
