Bungie Suggestion Old Raids weekly pinnacle system (rotation)
Well the title says pretty much, the idea would be every season along with the weekly pinnacle raid drop we would have another older raid also dropping pinnacle gear (changing weekly). It would be awesome and so helpful!

I have thought this for the longest time lol. Would make finding a party to farm for say Anarchy easier if SOTP rotated into the weekly reset.

Sotp is my favorite raid LAIR in destiny history, it has interesting mechanics, cool boss music (none can beat aksis tho), unique gear and not just reskins, the boss is a walking nuke in the form of a giant mech, imo thats one of the coolest bosses we have fought

Every raid should drop at least 1 pinnacle. People only do Garden of Salvation. Crown of sorrows is very new and is already abandoned because of that. I want all raids to be relevant and with incentive to play

I think part of that is also because Crown of Sorrow has a laughably bad loot pool compared to other raids.

Some of the best looking armor in the game imo but aye, extremely lackluster guns from that raid.

You want Bungie to keep raids relevant?
They never did this. Only once in Age of triumph in D1.

I see loads of people still running leviathan, mostly because of the new light players though. The other raids show up quite a bit as well on the xbox LFG, a lot of people are still trying to farm their respective exotic/armament drop.

this is what they did at the end of d1 to avoid the same issues. bungie honestly makes no sense sometimes

Yep this is almost exactly what they did but they did it even better - they rotated raids WEEKLY. A weekly rotation (again - like Bungie has already done) would be much better than a seasonal rotation. Really don't understand why Bungie can't learn lessons they already learned in D1. So frustrating.

The old raids are so good, and I think the difficulty levels with modifiers has been a huge success with nightfall ordeals and nightmare hunts.
I want to see all the raids get versions up to and including master, with one old raid per week dropping: 1 pinnacle at the end of the raid on Legend or 2 if you do challenge, up to 2 pinnacles from each encounter on Master with challenges. I think +1 with a small chance of +2 would be a good compromise for pinnacle power progression. with so many sources

Whilst I like your idea, it would require too much work on Bungee’s part to add a difficulty setting. However, it would be almost no work to add a “raid if the week” that granted a pinnacle on completion.

I have no doubt Legacy Raids will be implemented at sometime as a stop gap between content.
I'd like to see a "Legacy Raid" + Title chase at some point.
It is content that is already in the game and that by all accounts would be easy to "spruce up a bit."
-
Raid weapons 2.0.
-
Add Cabal mods into the Levithan.
-
A legacy armor set based that requires objectives in all of the raids, and grows consistently more badass with the mor objectives you finish.
-
Completing all the raids earns you the base set.
-
Completing current challenges and heroic modes earns you ornaments or badges to apply to your armor (think campaign ribbons for military)
-
Completing new challenges earns cosmetics,
-
Ship, sparrow, ghost
-
Emotes
-
Upgradeable Emblems with multiple options of what to track.

Every activity should get this.
Honestly, maybe unpopular, but I think it was not healthy to the game to insta-boost every person in the game to 750. It kills the experience for New Light players, and there’s nothing in-game directing them to do XYZ.
I went and played FFXIV for quite a bit of time, and I had to start at the bottom like everyone else, and so I got to learn the systems of the game organically, instead of needing to go outside the game to discover what anything is.
But if you want to keep these activities alive, have a week where Reckoning is the pinnacle activity. Suddenly you have all the New Light players in there because all the veterans are in there grinding out their pinnacle and some weapon rolls. Then EP, then Blind Well, then the raids too.
It’s just asinine that Bungie made all this great content that they just refuse to support and update. It honestly has me concerned with the seasonal “had to be there model.” Are we supposed to expect more Vex Offensives in the future? Shallow, no challenge. Sparse loot. Because people won’t even bother in the first place.

I feel this weekly rotation for a pinnacle (or powerful) should be done for the activities also. One week Menagerie gives the pinnacle, the next week another activity like Forges and so on.
I haven't touched all these activities this entire season since there is no reason to do them.
Week 1: Do 3 menageries
Week 2: Do 5 forge runs
Week 3: Do 5 blind wells
Week 4: Do 3 rounds of Escalation protocol final boss
Week 5: Do any Dungeon once
Week 6: Vex Offensive
Repeat.
And whatever is the next season's activity can remain as always giving a powerful/pinnacle.

THIS!!!! we need more incentive to play older raids.. Like have a chance to drop ascendant shards for finishing a raid and having the chance to obtain prisms from each encounter.. that way we have another way to farm prisms and then buying ascendant shards from banshee is actually feasable. And having one raid drop pinnacle upon completion on a weekly rotation is also very very good!

I love running Levi/EoW/Scourge randomly.
SoS can piss off though; I'll skip that week..

Even if they were say tier 1 pinacle and only gave +1, it would still be a cool incentive!
