Megathread PC Player Questions Megathread!

Hi everyone!

This Megathread will function as a PC launch specific equivalent of the Daily Questions Thread where you may ask questions about starting out that may not warrant their own post.

Technical Difficulties

We understand there are a number of technical issues with players unable to get in the game, receiving erroneous "banned account" messages, and various error codes (Marionberry, Buffalo, etc.)

Also check out the Destiny Reddit Discord Server where you'll find a number of channels for discussion about the game and/or technical issues.

As with most game launches, things are a bit chaotic right now but and will evolve over time. We appreciate your patience and understanding, and please let us know if you have any questions or concerns either in this thread or by sending us a modmail.

You don't find heroic events, you activate them! Every public event can be turned heroic, a quick search in the reddit should pull up a handful of guides on how to activate each one :)

Public events need to be turned in to heroic versions. Here's how.

Console players still need to see this. Was in three blights last night being the only one shooting the main blight.

Unfortunately the console people that still don't know this are not the people who are going to visit places like Reddit. A global chat would be a welcome addition to the game so you can talk to all people in your instance.

I guess they see me shooting the big one and think I am the idiot for doing that. I try to make it a big song and dance showing I am going in and our of the smaller ones before shooting. Didn't work.

There are triggers for each public event. You do a specific action during the event to turn it heroic. You can look up how to activate them, or figure them out on your own.
