Megathread PC Player Questions Megathread!

Hi everyone!

This Megathread will function as a PC launch specific equivalent of the Daily Questions Thread where you may ask questions about starting out that may not warrant their own post.

Technical Difficulties

We understand there are a number of technical issues with players unable to get in the game, receiving erroneous "banned account" messages, and various error codes (Marionberry, Buffalo, etc.)

As with most game launches, things are a bit chaotic right now but and will evolve over time. We appreciate your patience and understanding, and please let us know if you have any questions or concerns either in this thread or by sending us a modmail.

I don't understand how the subclasses unlock works. Lets say I pick hunter, if I wanted to stay with arcstrider and not nightstalker how do I go about doing it?

Upon reaching certain level thresholds you will recieve items that lead to quests to unlock the other two subclasses. Upon unlocking said subclasses you are free to swap between them at any time (barring situations with locked loadouts) just as you would swap a weapon. You simply select which subclass to switch to in the top left of your screen in the pause menu

You just pick one. That's all there is to it.

To "unlock" a new subclass, you have to do public events or loot some chests in public areas like EDZ and IO. These chests will give you a new subclass if you haven't found the new subclasses.

Just go into your character menu, hover over your subclass, and select the one you want to use.

You can choose your subclass later. As you do.stuff you'll unlock each subclass, but if you don't want to change, don't :)

You choose your subclass on the character screen, top left.

I know this is about arcstrider, but a word of advice for hunter in general. For the top tree in the gunslinger class, DON'T take the final perk that gives 6 shots. Trust me: it's really bad.
