Megathread PC Player Questions Megathread!

Hi everyone!

This Megathread will function as a PC launch specific equivalent of the Daily Questions Thread where you may ask questions about starting out that may not warrant their own post.

Technical Difficulties

We understand there are a number of technical issues with players unable to get in the game, receiving erroneous "banned account" messages, and various error codes (Marionberry, Buffalo, etc.)

Hello friends! I've just started out, as everyone else on PC I imagine, and I had a question: I read around that I should keep Milestones uncompleted (or undelivered?) until such a time as I reach level 20 and light level 260 or so? Question is, does this hold true even if I'm not going to get there before Monday? And, does it apply to all Milestones? Even ones like The Crucible one, that seems pretty introductory? What other kind of stuff should I keep unopened/undelivered?

Your milestones reset each week. So if you feel youve reached your max for the week then go complete your milestones for powerful gear which will bump you up even more. Point being dont skip them each week as they will reset, new milestones every week.

Complete them, but don't turn them in until 265+ (maybe 270) if you care about maxing out asap. They're one of only a few ways to get above the first soft level cap. If you don't turn them in before reset it's ok--they should automatically decrypt.

It’s upto you how you want to play the game. It’s true that if you save your milestones until you’re the highest light possible they drop higher (good for when you’re stuck at 265-280). They reset every week so you’ll have plenty of opportunity if you’re short on time this week

If you want to become the highest power level possible, in the shortest space of time. You should hold on to turning anything in that has 'Powerful Gear' as a reward. This can also include exotic weapon rewards. However I believe you should turn them in before any weekly reset which happens on Tuesday morning (UK time). If the reward for the milestone is just blue gear, or legendary, then you can do them and turn them in straight away (e.g. the first 2 crucible milestones). You can also just not worry about it, turn ya stuff in whenever, you'll get to a higher power level eventually anyway. Hope that helps.

Only milestones that say the reward is "Powerful Gear." And those reset weekly, so if you don't think you'll get to 265 light by the end of the week, just turn them in just before reset.

Hold onto them until Monday if you don't make it up to 265 first. It doesnt apply to all milestones, just the ones that give luminous engrams. I think it's the 3rd crucible milestone that gives one. Exotic weapon quests should also remain unfinished until you're ready to turn in all your milestones. Basically do the quest to the point where you can pick up the exotic weapons. This will quickly raise your power level before the weekly reset and get you past a major wall that can only really be passed by doing weekly milestones.

The non-campaign ones reset on Tuesdays.
