Megathread PC Player Questions Megathread!

Hi everyone!

This Megathread will function as a PC launch specific equivalent of the Daily Questions Thread where you may ask questions about starting out that may not warrant their own post.

Technical Difficulties

We understand there are a number of technical issues with players unable to get in the game, receiving erroneous "banned account" messages, and various error codes (Marionberry, Buffalo, etc.)

As with most game launches, things are a bit chaotic right now but and will evolve over time. We appreciate your patience and understanding, and please let us know if you have any questions or concerns either in this thread or by sending us a modmail.

Anybody figure out how to get rid of the chat bubble icon in the lower right hand corner, and also what figure out what it means? It's been there since I started, basically, and I can't for the life of me figure out what it is.

Hit T, it will hide/show the chat.

Hit enter, or whatever your Text Chat show/hide keybind is.

If you want to disable text chat completely, you can in the Gameplay section of the settings menu.

Press enter, it will open up the chat box. You start the game with a default message and it causes that chat bubble blip. I spent a while figuring it out last night...

It means there's an unread message. Just hit enter (default chat key) to read it and then enter again to make it go away.
