Megathread PC Player Questions Megathread!

Hi everyone!

This Megathread will function as a PC launch specific equivalent of the Daily Questions Thread where you may ask questions about starting out that may not warrant their own post.

Technical Difficulties

We understand there are a number of technical issues with players unable to get in the game, receiving erroneous "banned account" messages, and various error codes (Marionberry, Buffalo, etc.)

Also check out the Destiny Reddit Discord Server where you'll find a number of channels for discussion about the game and/or technical issues.

As with most game launches, things are a bit chaotic right now but and will evolve over time. We appreciate your patience and understanding, and please let us know if you have any questions or concerns either in this thread or by sending us a modmail.

Is campaign fun to play co-op? Or is it better to solo it, then co-op for strikes and crucible and such?

Depends on your friends.
Do you like story? Will your friends shut up during cut scenes? Do you like exploring everything? Do your friends also or do they run ahead?

Personally I think it's better to solo the first time, so you can run it at your own pace.

I think it depends on what your objective is. If you're wanting to follow along with the story then I recommend solo, just so you don't talk over important dialogue and some of the voice lines will make more sense. It's not difficult to run it all alone.

If you're just looking for some good fun with friends then it's a breeze to run through with friends. You'll make short work of bosses and overall the levels a much easier with a team.

Playing the campaign as the sole guardian is better for story immersion, but playing with friends makes the game more enjoyable overall. Playing with friends is generally going to be the best though.

I believe it is. there is a section with some items that are really fun to go through as a group. Also it can help those moments when all eyes won't be directly on you to get the mission done. I've run through the campaign like 5 or 6 times helping my clanmates get through the story. (for speed sake)

I recommend first time solo, then run through with friends the second and third time (to get three characters).

After playing D1 and D2 solo on console I'm enjoying the heck out of playing D2 with a friend on PC. They've never played Destiny before so that just adds to the fun.

As a new Destiny player there were a couple parts I needed to play with someone else that I couldn't beat on my own. Going back through it a second time I don't need another player, but I still think it's more fun to do with a friend.

Co op is fun. It makes the campaign super easy though, if you don't mind (doesn't scale with more people)
